In our home, we have a music corner, where our guitars and mandolin are in the wall, the piano is out, and amps are plugged in. So that it’s all accessible and easy to just come home and enjoy one of our favorite things. And then on the other side of the room kind of as part of our living room we have two comfy chairs across from our couch with fluffy blankets and pillows and good lighting next to the window for reading and good conversations. We felt the most effort should go into the things that bring us the most Joy and Peace! Even though our home is only 550sf we made what we love a priority and we feel so filled up when we come home! Currently my fav spot in my apartment is the living room...nothing unusual...this is where I can see all my greens indoor and look out to the balcony with more greens outdoor, where tree branches shakes in the wind and cast shadows on my vaulted ceiling at different times of the day...☺️☕️

We own a small townhouse so is kind of open concept. The living and dining are next to each other and we are going for a mid century design. We have an L shape light grey couch. An accent blue chair with the same material as the couch. White tv stand and two ladder shelves on each side to make it symmetrical. A beautiful wooden table and chairs from Westelm. I am decluttering and trying to become a minimalist if possible. I’ve taken classes about the environment and all that and is scary how much waste we produce. I have also found that having less, makes me less anxious. Oh and the symmetrical things I got it from your mom a few years back, so now that is stuck in my head 😉 love your videos!!

I think that would be great for the growth and market of your business. Kinda what your mom does but on a smaller scale involving a younger crowd. I just remodeled my flooring I had the whole first floor put in vinel grayish flooring. I actually bought some wicker furniture to replace a 8 ft couch I had from my parents who bought it in 1975 for our formal living room my home is rustic lodge type. I listen to u and your mother's. Thank you so much for the video! lots of love from London As per your question, my favourite room is my music room/craft room. I live in a two bedroom, 860 sqft flat in central London and I decided to use the spare room as the place to let my creative side out when taking a break from my profession in the medical science field. I practice a plethora of musical instruments and doing music and watercolour in this room keeps me grounded, humble and visceral because being a scientist can be a very competitive and cut-throat job where one has to conduct whatever they can in order to get ahead of others. This room is very special to me.

I live in a boarding house type situation, so my bedroom is my only private space, and due to some anxiety issues I spend most of my time there when I'm not working. I'm calling my vibe 'beach organic', although I've yet to purchase anything since I tend to freeze when it comes to making decisions. My favorite room is my bedroom. I'm happiest with how that room has come together. We downsized from 3500sq ft to just 900sq ft. I still need to change my dresser knobs to glass ones that I purchased, and find a soft pink rug for peeking out from under the bed. I've done white, crystal/glass, soft pink, and light blue/grey!

you are right about purge old things, like my rug :( , I have it about 4 years and it has geometric pattern in red, beige and dark colors, i loved it at first but now I feel like makes my living room dark and i just feel depressed, im going for light colors like blue, grey and yes! farmhouse style!. I love my livingroom. I have a comfortable sofa and 2 poang chairs and I love the colors that I have chosen for the walls and trim. Also, there is a professional family portrait that has a beautiful frame on one of the walls that I love and I am forgetting there is a handmade quilt on the wall that is so interesting to look at. We have ceadar caps on the opening to the living room and kitchen and sliding barn doors on our study. Beautiful color palate and dark floors. I love neutrals.
