Ahh it's getting so cozy on your channel lately and I'm here for it! ❤ I also do this thing with opening the window curtains first thing in the morning - and then I just look outside and sip my coffee, it's my morning ritual that I just cannot go without. Did you know that exposing your eyes to the natural light right after you wake up helps to set your circadian rhytms right?? The receptors in your brain capture the wavelenght of the light, it's also one of the regulating system for the daily cycles of some hormones!

I'm a comfort addict lol. Always have candles, soft lighting, blankets and plants. I have a very large bookcase that I adore. Cooking with the seasons is so satisfying and guests love our porch with plants, string lights and cozy furniture. Thank you for your many suggestions. Have to try the eucalyptus in the shower!

Per my lease, I am not allowed to burn candles. But faux candles are better than no candles. And they are safer for my geckos (they cannot tolerate essential oils). I cannot stand a top sheet! Be careful with eucalyptus if you have a cat (toxic to kitties). I recently moved and I know that I love my new place when I don't want to leave to go to work in the morning and I am really happy to come home after work. It is very warm and relaxing. Your home is beautiful.

Love these! I’d add to be intentional about what you put on your walls. In my first apartment, I quickly bought random prints to fill the space. They didn’t bring me any comfort or joy. In my current apartment, I gave myself time to buy art that spoke to me. The pieces I have make me happy and calm every time I look at them!

I open the blinds on the front of the house every morning and then switch to opening blinds on the back in the afternoon. Just one scented candle in the living room fills the house because we have an open 2-story house. I love pulling out my crock pot and making meals that simmer all day. My youngest (and only one left at home) just asked to get apple cider (which is great in a crock pot or on the stove).
