Gotta tell you, I cried seeing this backyard at sunset. We've all been through so much in the last year, and just imagining sitting around that oval dining table, enjoying dinner with my family or sitting around the center fire pit with my friends brings me so much hope and warms my heart. Rebecca is an artist and we are so lucky that she shares her design process and life with us. These Cliff House videos have been so deeply inspiring to me.

For the past year during quarantine, whenever the days seemed particularly endless and full of stress, I would come to the edge of this cliff, sit on the wooden railings with my $7 Trader Joe's sandwich and day dream about what kind of fantasy went on behind those green construction fences. Little did I know my favorite youtube designer was behind the massive project! Rebecca, your talent is limitless! That is one of the most spectacular backyards that I have ever seen! Layer upon layer of detail. I want to sit everywhere once and then start over again! The long cabinet storage area is genius! Storage and a place to lay out appetizers and food for the 50 plus people you have over. That place has "Party" written all over it! Wish they were my friends!!!

Yikes, the owners paid $5.56m for the back house in 2016 and $10m for the front house in 2017 that they knocked down to make the backyard. Plus a couple million easy on the remodel and landscape plus another $500k probably to tear down and haul away the front house.! So, that’s at least $18m for a 2,772 sq ft house. That’s insane!

I understand, but I love the sound of trains, there is such comfort for me in hearing them at night. When I was a little girl my grandmother and I took a train from Michigan to California and we had a sleeper room. It was just pure luxury with all the service and special attention given to a first class train ride. I’ll never forget that trip and how much I love trains and my grandmother.

Another amazing and incredible transformation!! I would love to sit on the lounge down near the water for my morning and afternoon cup of tea. Breakfast and lunch would be at the tables in the different areas, depending on my mood. In the day I would be in the pool and on the nearby lay back chair. In other words I would be using every space every day !! Love it.
