You should change that window above where you have your quiet time to be a trifold open window to serve food out of when you have parties. If it is too high put a platform with a step up. I adore this house~

I’m a Texan who lived in Southern California for 27 years, in that time it rained one time and one time only in the summer in our town, and I missed it because I was in Texas visiting relatives! I’ve been back in N. Texas for around 27 years and for the most part I’ve enjoyed the thunderstorms, but prefer that we don’t get hail along with them. There was a bad storm in Plano a couple of weeks ago, my son and granddaughter were caught out in it, son was in Walgreens and granddaughter (who shares the same bd as Sawyer) was waiting in the car when the sirens went off, she got out of the car and made a mad dash into the store and managed to get a good sized lump on the head from hail…..and then there’s the car……If you don’t have a storm shelter, I suggest you have one installed ASAP! My daughter lives in Edmond, they have a storm shelter in their garage. Another thing you might want to consider is a grounding rod for your lovely home, there are always homes catching on fire because they’ve been struck by lightning.

Gorgeous! All the beautiful blooms bring everything to life and the wonderful white containers make them really pop! 🌼🌺🌸 You have created spaces for every possible scenario for function and fun! I love the festoons providing not only lovely light but a very festive atmosphere! Great tip for your solar lights! 😍🥰⛱ Funny but I’ve never considered calling my beach towels, “pool” or “lake” towels before. I don’t know why not because living in the Dallas area or the Midwest never gave me easy access to a costal beach. I have bath towels, bath sheets, guest towels, hand towels, dish towels and even car towels but all the swimsuit related towels have always been referred to as beach towels. Apparently I need to get with the program and continue being specific about my towel naming! 😉😂🤣 Who knew? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I bought those off of Amazon and they arrived a few days ago and you just have to turn them on from the inside and then stick them into wherever you want them and I'm very happy as they show up at night

Love your outdoor area, we have a patio, Carport that we use as covered patio, and my front porch at most of my guest like to stay on, not as nice as yours but very accommodating when we have guest or family over…we can accommodate 30 people…love your flowers..thanks for sharing

Becky, OMG its really beautiful. Funny thing is, I decided to add navy blue to my outdoor space this summer - I used a lot of terra cotta/rust in accessories last year around my pool and seating areas that I wanted to keep and add to, so this gave me some more great ideas. By the way, I bought a new navy stripe umbrella this year and during one of those windy days we have had here in Tulsa, a gust came and lifted it right out of the heavy holder and carried it up to the roof - looked kinda like Mary Poppins should be hanging on to it! Anyway it was ruined after only a week, so be careful and close your umbrellas when it gets windy! Love your pool and all the pots - I will be adding more to my courtyard for sure, now!

LOL Susan... I once found my old umbrella in the pool! Learned that lesson fast! The new terracotta umbrellas are a higher quality and I used pliers to tighten them down! I do however close them down when weather looks like its not going to cooperate :-) Thanks for the heads up. Good luck with your updates to you backyard. It's an ongoing process but well worth it if you ask me :-) RR
