I am going to say it, the spines of books never look bad. I have around 2,000 book plus over a 1,000 on kindle. 32 years as a children’s librarian. A room filled with books is my comfort zone.

I totally agree. I love the spines on books, especially old books with hard covers. I don't understand why some designers turn them around. But I forgive Rebecca cause I love her and will bite my tongue.

LOL Debra. I hear ya… a book, a good story can transport you. It can entertain you and enrich your life. The whole backwards book thing is definitely a controversial issue. Here’s my thing… I listen to Audible books ALL THE TIME … seriously, a good book is my best friend. However, Hardback books are an accessory item in my home. I get the best of both worlds 🙌🏻 What I don’t understand is the strong judgement by critics who feel a handheld copy is the only way to be smart… cultured, significant or otherwise well-bread. My friends… Let’s just get along. If my videos inspire you to make your own home better… isn’t that the point? Anyway, I’m happy to read you are reading books on kindle. Do you know how many people, adults included, ask for a book by color? “You know that little pink book I use to teach letter writing?” I want the blue book that Alex checked out last week.” My school library had 20,000 books. I had a kindergartener ask for the book about the kidnapped mouse. There wasn’t a book about that, he just made up a story to go with the picture. The mice went a picnic. That took forever to find. My only clue was I knew where he was looking at books the week before. Oh, the stories I can tell!😄

I used your guidiance to renovate/redecorate my huband's home office (while he was away for 6 months in another country). I must tell you that it was a Winner!!!! His return was 12/24. The renovation took 6 weeks but please know that the majority of that time took our housekeeper and myself taping, painting, and bringing in all the artisans to do the work.
