Wow, must be so satisfying that every nut, bolt and screw was touched by you guys. Inspiring! Well done from Cape Town, South Africa 🙂

Yes it’s definitely coming to life! And is looking just like we hoped. But didn’t think would actually happen!

I’m loving the videos guys. I’m also looking forward to seeing how the 12v electromagnetic locks work. I was going to do the same but decided to go with 12v micro electronic actuators because when they’re fully extended or contracted they draw zero power.

Probably a better idea. So far they have been very fiddly to install and very painful as have to be exactly lined up! You’d have more play with the actuators.

@ Yeah I bought a few different types of electromagnetic locks to have a play and like you found them too fiddly, especially for an old man with too many thumbs and not enough patience. 🤣

I really like the sleek look of the bunk drawer unit without handles, somewhat like a high end kitchen fitout. The electro magnetic lock system sounds quite interesting. Is it a specific blade on your tracksaw to cut the fibreglass skins?
@DIYAdventureNZ6 ай бұрын
Thanks, we realy like the look too! I just used a multipurpose blade on the tracksaw, it cuts easily

Interesting I am building the same on a steel painted chassis no foam on the floor though I went for 15mm ply and will insulate afterwards
@DIYAdventureNZ4 ай бұрын
Are you in NZ? Or Aus? We had a Jayco with a ply floor. But it just wasn’t well enough insulated on the floor for us. We looked at trying to insulate under it but couldn’t work out a good way that would work for insulation and also not let water in when driving etc.

Thankfully I love flat packs 🧩. Luke buys them and I put them together 😂

Hi guys, I'm about to get started on a very similar (albeit smaller) build and had already picked out the happijac, Wee Make Change and Fibre Prospecs before I saw this series! I was just wondering where you got your plywood from and what you ended up paying for it? I was looking at Duralite because my goal was to not use anything that can rot, but then you need all sorts of extrusions and trims so I'm going back down the plywood route. I'd either look at a timer veneer like you guys or possibly HPL.
