But these seats get abused and sometimes they get to the point of no return. That leather can be picky as fuck sometimes

The easier move and more efficient would be to just dye the carpet ot fabric paint then just color the tan console pieces gray and add a much nicer better steering wheel I wonder if there are heated and cool steering wheels Iknow the 2013 king ranch trucks came with a heated wheel

Those king ranch seat have adjustment on the button where they will sit lower, the big switch for the back and forth if you push it down they will go down or up

The 11-16 seats sit higher than the 99-10 seats. It was hard getting past that for me to when I swapped 16 Lariat seats in to my 07.

Love your truck and all the work you’ve done. I have the same year but King Ranch. Truck is beautiful and I will never get rid of it. Like you we’ve driven all other trucks and nothing compares to a Ford F-350 as far as comfort, looks, stoutness. I wouldn’t turn down a brand new diesel truck if someone wants to give me one but I would never pay 80,000PLUS dealers are asking for the platinum and kings today. Best/smartest move is what you did and what I’m going to do, simply swap out for a Cummins. Excellent work dude! Subscribed.

For the next big life changing change to the truck. Should swap a f450 wide track front axle under it. The change in turning radius is huge and makes parking lot maneuvers so much easier loaded and unloaded.

There's also wraps he could use too, some of which even have a leather and all that, I would have done mine the only thing that holds me back from it would be air bags, I get an image in my head of them going off and ripping out part of the dash and hurling it towards my face

Steam the foam cushions and that seat will puff up like new. Did it to thousands of aircraft seats works every time. If it bothers you SEM has kits to match the brown and use their vinyl/plastic dye paint kit. Amazing results

Is there a black interior option at all? I think black everything else would look sick with the current seat color. Edit: platinum series came in all black. There was also an option for the same seat colors with a dark grey accent color.

Two of my past vehicles required that the airbag light be reset whenever a connection was taken apart and put back together. It was a system of airbag light flashing and key turning to reset it. You may want to check that out if that light persists. Love your content, man!

Watch some detailing videos on reconditioning interior leather. You'd be surprised how much of a change it would make on the new console and driver seat

Idea.. get some vinyl paint and paint the plastic bits gray or black. Also, for those carpet stains, Folex. Spray let it soak and extract or dap off, stains will virtually disappear. Nice work!

This year of F250s seats (any F series prior to 2020) actually had AC seats. Most manufacturers just had ventilated seats so this made Ford unique. The seats use a thermoelectric cooler to cool the air and then fans under each seat to move the cool air through the seat cushions.

Leather can be redyed/conditioned. Used to have guys come to the dealer I worked at and they could fix a lot of scratches/discolouration. Would also try painting the vinyl in the car. If you did the dash black the tan would match the carpet/rest of the interior

Get some sound mat and closed cell foam for the doors and roof. I just did this on my tacoma and the difference is amazing. The cab stays cooler while parked, reduced road noise and my stereo sounds cleaner. Best $120 I've spent in a while

I don't know about the newer Cummins but my dad has two 12 valve Cummins and one of them has over a million on the odometer . I totally understand your way of looking at it . No one vehicle has everything figured out , the best you can do is pick the best parts and build your own .

Just an FYI you can direct swap all of the proper tan pieces in to your truck that match the console. Door panels included. Your dash panels all pop off or unfiltered and can be swapped as well.

For the airbag light, I know on my old 300zx, I got an airbag light with an aftermarket steering wheel . When I put the oem wheel back in, the airbag light didn’t go off and I actually had to reset the airbag module to get the light to go off. So if you plug that module back in and have someone clear the airbag codes, that may fix your light

for volvos at least, when you unplug an airbag sensor with battery still plugged in, youll get a code that wont go away until you get dealership software service

That airbag light reads resistance. If you find out how much resistance you need, you can put them in line with the original plug (kinda like a shunt) and plug the plug back into the stock connector and it should shut it off. Had to do this with my Jeep when I put in racing seats. Just make sure your airbags will still operate

Best thing I have done to my Bronco. Was pull the seats out and shampoo the carpet. I pulled a good 5 gallons of filthy black water out of it. It really brought the color of the carpet back around and the vehicle smells great every time I get in it.
