If my kitchen could accommodate another dishwasher I would do it in a heartbeat. Making 2 kids’ lunches for school and daycare every day plus family breakfast and dinner and both parents working from home, my kitchen feels like a diner constantly churning out food.

I've heard some people just leave the clean load in the dishwasher and use the dishes right from it rather than unload it all, which makes sense since we tend to use the same things from day to day. So, a labor saver!

I do that. I wash by hand and use my dishwasher as the dish drain. The dishes in my dishwasher are always clean. So much easier with just 2 people or more. I rinse them good before loading the dishwasher anyway. So it just makes sense.

I love the one wall kitchen look. I’d add a walk-in closet/pantry behind a closed door, a nice farm table for eating and extra prep space for cooking with kids, etc., and maybe a free-standing welsh dresser/china hutch if that’s your style. Much more flexible and cost effective than a fitted kitchen, IMO. Unfortunately we won’t be redoing our kitchen anytime soon.😢

For twenty years, I've had two dishwashers in my primary and my bay homes. They are lifesavers. I can sit down in the evenings and watch TV with my husband because cleanup in the kitchen is quicker. I can enjoy my guests after a meal quicker. I put dishes, glasses, silverware, coffee carafe, etc, in one and pots, pans, utensils in the other one. Each one can have the appropriate cycle for their load. We use both almost every night. They both flank the sink, which is the most convenient place for rinsing dishes, then putting them in the dishwasher.

Dishwasher: I am on my 2nd Fischer & Pykel 2 drawer dishwasher. Works like two dishwashers because the drawers can be run separately. Bonus is that drawers are easier to walk around when open. The reason I am on my 2nd is that I moved and purchased a new one before even moving in.

Designs that require lots of disposable income and a large home don't feel like a trend as much as a AD's celebrity-home feature. Like it was alluded to in the video, having two dishwashers is likely to not be worth it for the majority of households. I'm always ready to be wrong though 😊

Hi☺️ i found my self smiling when you mentioned two dishwasher. Here in Norway i think people have been installing two for a few years now. Not highend high income people, but just regular young people in their neebuild homes, or total renovation. Also, there is a ton of one wall kitchens😊 i see what people like aboute it, but its not for me. I m very inspired by modern farmhouse with a spanish/natural touch My gosh🙈🙈 90% of all my words have a red line beneat🙈🙈 guess my Norwegian language phone think i suck at spelling😅 most likely there are some spelling misstakes. Sorry aboute that! I like watching your videos. You seem so down to earth, and i really like your laugh! It sets you appart form other designers on YT! Keep up the good work! Question: when struggeling with choises , meaning- when you like sevral looks and styles. How to determent ” what is my style» I guess its modern farmhouse, but i like the calmness of scandinavian , spanish, minimalist, monocromatic, cabin( Hytte) … My head wanders away in those inspirational pictures, and it makes me insecure.. Thank you for the kind words! Combing styles works very well together. Especially if they have a similar feel. It's harder with competing styles like industrial and coastal...that wouldn't work well. But scandi, boho, farmhouse they feel similar and will work together. I believe I have a video on mixing styles from a while back. I'll find it and link it below :)

@@InteriorDesignHub Thank you☺️ You just made me very happy and confident on my style. I was also wondering. Would you like to make a video on applyances? There is so much to choose from. We usually dont use gas in our kitchen,( its all eletric in norway. Maby in some cabins they have gas range. ) but i’m thinking on installing a gas range in my kitchen.. White , stainless, black stainless, black, pop of colour( like hot pink) or mixing and matching the knobs on a range or handle on a refridgerstor etc. there is Also paneling doors. There is spilt oven and cooktop, and also all the smaller appliances. Copper, brass, white, black, stainless etc..

@@InteriorDesignHub Combining styles together yes. What i ment is when you dont know how to choose between , let’s say fireplace in a spanish or farmhouse or industrial style. Some of the BIG .. floor, fireplace, and materials … thats the items sending you in a direction of a style.

Do you guys help people who are completely lost😢😮😂...we bought our house November 1st, found out it was mouse infested, and had mold issue, 3 little ones we knew that was priority. But now that the design is empty and looks like a construction zone, im lost as to what to do with the kitchen, which required a complete gut job. Got the upstairs done. And need a kitchen guidance!!!

For a full kitchen design you will probably need someone onsite. I would check with your local kitchen companies if they have a designer they work with. They will need to do design drawings that are detailed. :)
