i did thjs today! my friend has a silk and i could do this within 2 minutes! it was my first time even touching a silk and i’m planning on making this set up!!!

This has helped me although I don’t seem to come up to the sitting position. I will keep practicing! I have done the full flip twice and it is indeed kinda scary.

I started pole before hammock. Which do you think is harder? I struggle way more in pole than in the fabric!

Same. I also started with pole. My core was strengthened which made it easy for me to do hammock. The danger with hammock for beginners, we might get stuck and break out bones if our core is not powerful enough.

Hi I noticed that you don’t make videos any more? Cuz I really like ur videos and they help me learn new tricks on the silks because all the other channels have very big silks but ur the only channel that provides videos on how to do certain tricks on the short silks. I would appreciate if u made more videos on more tricks because I know almost all of the tricks u have ever done. Thanks!

I have a yoga swing. I took down the sides for this so I could just use the hammock. Does it hurt anyone else when they go to the top to drop. It’s squeezing on my legs and hurts like really bad. Is there anyway to stop that?

Carlie Paige, well first I would recommend not wearing shorts or something that offers no skin protection. It may be your pose, I use a plain old hammock to practice at home and it doesn’t hurt. Edit- yeah no it kind of hurts

Hi! When I do the standard position on my silk, it’s hurts so bad! It leaves marked on my thighs. When I try to go in to the intermediate drop, i can’t it squeezes my legs so much it’s impossible. Is there something wrong with my silk? Do you have any tips for me? Thank you! 🥰

That normally just happens in standard and it’s something you have to get used to, the longer your hammock is the less tension there will be too.

Get it professionally installed! But the silk itself can hold a lot of weight

Most silks will say 200 pounds even though it can hold more. When you start doing drops the weight gets compounded X 2 X3 times more and has more tension which is when it becomes more of a concern.

I love your videos! but why does sitting in standard position hurt SO bad? I almost cannot bear it, same with normal upside down position many people meditate in it, but it just hurts so bad and I cannot find a reasons why, do I have bad quality or rough silks?

It could be that you’re not used to it or that your silk is short (like mine) or low quality and doesn’t have enough give in it to feel relaxing.

It does hurt, has it gotten better though? Your body's pain sensors will die down with a consistent practice like at least twice a week. Then if you take a break you have to go though the whole process all over again! It's the same with pole and silks it's so awful then suddenly it's tolerable.
