Thanks for sharing these tips. Even for more experienced potters it helps to go back to basics sometimes. And I love the humor salted all over your videos!

Great video as always, all excellent points. I am still working on bowls and different forms and it was funny because as you were making each point it was like watching the checklist of making a bowl I go through in my head, come to life. Lol.

Thanks for these tips, especially about opening the rim up just a bit- most of my bowls are impossible to stack & now I have a plan for making them more user friendly!

Thank you for the close up of how to use the metal rib! Very helpful!

I have been focusing on bowls lately and like your idea of tipping the rim outward a bit for stacking. That will really help me. Also, I like the idea of having the shape of the bowl going and not just focusing on creating cylinder first. Thank you!

cheers bro. Do you have an advanced series planned?
@EarthNationCeramics2 жыл бұрын
I have a few, the issue is at my advanced ideals are very personal to the individual. I don't want to put down a set of rules or principles that I consider advanced than expect everyone to copy them because by that level you should have figured out your own art style. My goal is to help you improve the basics of the advanced, not exactly to tell you what is or is not advanced.

@@EarthNationCeramics I think you can definitely frame them as "here's a more complicated technique/design consideration that I do for XY reason, here's how I got to that point" Your journey to reach an opinion would be interesting to hear.

You were trying to be professional? 🤣 I thought you were just trying to be quiet so you didn't wake the baby 😂. Apparently I rant level Dante has desensitized me to normal Dante.
