Hahaha excellent video! Your camera work, lighting, explanations are all 2nd to none. I’m here because we have the same intermittent cruise issue. Will pick up a sensor and install this weekend, following your detailed video. Thanks so much. Great work. Love your pup too!

I have the same problem. When looking up the part both Amazon and RockAuto say calibration required after replacement?

I replaced my brake light switch, and my brake lights stay on continuously. I reset the batteries 3x and that didn't help. Not sure what else to do

You might have the wrong part or a faulty part. Maybe put the the old one back in and consult your parts store.

They say it’s the switch in the steering wheel. Ordered mine today!

@@Iowatrailrider no problem. 4th gen rams have a lot of switch issues. Works one day. Slap the plastic above the switch when it quits working. Should work again!

How long did this fix last? (It’s not the first I’ve heard of this fix. It’s happening on my 2014). Great instructions btw. 🇨🇦

I've replaced the buttons as that's what the code said, didn't help, I've replaced the steering control module/steering angle sensor (aka clock spring for us old timers). In another page somebody mentioned it seems tied to key cycles for them, seems to work less when remote starting than when starting via key. Mine will work, then stop mid drive, seems tied to the steering, but it's not consistent. today this is the 2nd video (first was for a 3rd gen) saying brake switch.. for the $50 shipped it's worth a shot, cause sitting here thinking.. it's the tighter turns where I'd need to use the brake that it turns off for.. plus after $400+ for a clockspring and I don't remember what for the buttons, it's worth a shot. With mine once cruise turns off, I have to reset the truck, turn the key off, then on and it'll start working again, sometimes I stop, sometimes on a straight stretch( cause it locks the steering wheel for a second) I just toss it in neutral. Somebody else mentions a 10A fuse to pull to reset it.. it's temping to wire a remote switch for that if the brake pedal switch doesn't work.

Any update?
@gold5th6 ай бұрын
@@zacharyryan1719 in my case it turns out the steering wheel harness failed at the white connector that connects to the clock spring, the green wire and the gray wire broke off the crimps. there's a little clamp that holds the wires, I had to open that to see the issue. Side note my old brake switch was a little "sticky" the brake lights turn off faster with the new switch.
