Pretty darn nice for 8k! Just a note on installing corrugated metal roofing, the screws should be on the peak of the corrugation, not in the valleys. Not gonna be a concern for a while but eventually the seal on the washer will degrade and since it's in the low part a little water will eventually seep through.

Thank you! You're absolutely right regarding the screw placement on the roof panels, and unfortunately I didn't learn this until after I had installed it - there are even some guides online that say it's fine to put screws in the valleys, but this is not good practice as you point out. In any case, after learning this I put a generous amount of Lexel around each screw to help with waterproofing, and so far there have been no issues or leaks in the past 1.5 years, even despite several heavy rain and snow storms. In any event, I plan to actually replace the roof this summer in favor of a higher-grade material, and Iuckily I will definitely have more experience going into that. This project was certainly a huge learning process! 😁

Very nice and the price is even better. This is what the tiny house movement was about. Actually being able to build a tiny home for close to nothing. But unfortunately someone got ahold of them and now you can be looking a $100,000 for one or more. Again very good job. God bless. 🙏💞🙏

No, it's just not practical for everyone to DIY it and not use all new materials. While people don't want to suffer, so they spend on making sure it is tailored to their needs... So that's all just the reality of people buying homes and needing them to meet their needs, with not all of them able to do it the lowest cost way. Add, it ain't just single people and couples anymore, lots of families now means they had to get bigger too, for a reality check on what actually happened... Besides, $100,000 isn't what you think anymore because the value of the dollar has dropped. Even from just 2000 to now, $1 in 2000 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $1.62 today. In short, $100,000 today would have been just $61,728 in 2000... Add, supply chain issues, lower averages wages, higher prices for just about everything. The adjusted price difference dips even lower. To show a massive amount of that is just how bad the economy is now and yeah, most people never noticed it happening... But as bad as $100,000 may sound it's nothing compared to the traditional housing market that the average is starting to exceed $400,000 nationally and most of those can never be tailored to individual owners and their needs, because custom building large houses starts 50% higher and easily goes over 4x higher in cost, running large homes into the millions for an apples to apples comparison... Besides, one of the points of the whole movement was to get out of the rat race, part of that means people should not be comparing their homes to each other all the time. People like this couple prove nothing is stopping people from going for the lowest price possible except themselves! Aside from the messed up economy, it's your choices that matter and not other people's!

@@kimsikorski5691 Sorry but if you've built then you should know better than say nonsense like you've been doing. Roof doesn't leak just because they screwed at the bottom instead of the peak. In fact, unless you're careful the peak can be more dangerous because people who haven't built before are more likely to do things like either over or under drive the screws and leave dimples or gaps for water to get through. While screws are screwed to the bottom for when attaching metal sheets to the sides. So lets not pretend it's never done that way and automatically means leaks when it obviously doesn't!

Horrible idea IMO. His reason for selecting an enclosed trailer makes no sense at all. Be much easier to start with a car trailer/hauler without a dovetail rear. They can carry between 5-12 thousand pounds depending on which one you want. Not to mention they are usually half the price of a cargo trailer.

This is a great tiny house, but I feel like the house needs a better electrical system overall. I think the roof has enough space for at least 1000w of solar panels that could probably be put on a tilt and swivel arm with a locking mechanism if needed. I also feel that an actual high wattage inverter and maybe 3-4kWh LiFePO4 that could do at least 2000w would be super beneficial to replace the stove with an induction cooker, a shower with an electric water heater, and an electric heater rather than a wood stove.

No, it is not insured, but if anything breaks I can fix it myself for far less than a monthly insurance plan would cost. And no, this size wouldn't be suitable for kids, which is why we're lucky not to have any 😁

It's a card/board game called Sequence where you place tokens on the board on spots that correspond with the cards you have in your hand, aiming for 2 lines of a certain amount. It's pretty fun, me and my family play it all the time, but I've never heard of anyone else playing it

@@nnooaahhnnooaahh wow, thank you for responding. I'm going to look that game up. It seems like a cool game and it looked like a board with cards that my girlfriend had a long time ago. Thank you so much, I appreciate it. 💛

That only matters to long term, when the seal on the screws eventually wears away and the screws needs to be replaced, which takes years... It doesn't effect it now with it all new! Though, doing it this way is an advantage for moving the home as it's stronger for withstanding wind and making sure the roof stays on when moving it down the highway at speeds up to 60+ MPH and possible head winds pushing that over 100... While a self resealing membrane could have been placed below the metal to provide a second level of protection that will make replacing the screws more about making sure the roof is properly secured...

@@stewartatwood7271 No luck required if they just keep an eye on it and do regular maintenance. Seriously, you're blowing it way out of proportions... Even done the other way you'd still have to replace the screws when they wear out...

@@ZeoCyberG Nonsense, the grommets will allow both rainwater and condensation into the hole in the roofing. This comes about through capillary action.

So the woman just exists to take pictures I guess. Not ONCE has he said 'we' only I, I, I, I. What a self-involved tour. She did get to talk about the decor, and she actually knows the world 'we.' Goodness! Run Zhenya, RUN!

Table is ugly, and too expensive by $600. As everybody has seen in tiny home videos, if you want it personalized, make it yourself. If you get cash, or a free table out of it by advertising it, more power to you though.
