This is what the next generation has been reduced to? Living in shed sized houses? If a tornado or hurricane hits that area, they'll all be dead or seriously injured. What are they supposed to do if they want a family? Something is seriously wrong with this country and the financial system when people working at social media companies are making millions of dollars a year while people who build our infrastructure and homes can't even afford a real home for themselves.

I teach tiny house design at a small college in the northeast. I'll use this video to the students to inspire them. Not everyone wants to live in a mini house like this but for the short term after graduation, while they figure out their future, this is a great choice. We'll be building a 8 x12 prototype this fall to demonstrate how easily and inexpensively this can be done. Thanks for the great ideas and best to both of you. You're off to a great start!

And, being a mobile structure after college the house can be moved to the first job out of college location, therefore saving even more $$$ those first years. Such an affordable start instead of being in housing and school debt for years like most of us found ourselves.

I lived with my ex-husband in a 27 foot travel trailer for four years while we were building a home on our property. It was a fabulous experience living tiny. Honestly this is the first "Tiny Home" video/channel I've seen where everything looks very realistic, obtainable and not people who obviously have plenty of money and resources to buy whatever they want, but just doing what's cool and trendy and having homes that almost don't clasify as Tiny Homes and are extremely lavish.

I built a tiny house for myself with my own hands. It's not as tiny as this but it's a two storey house with approx 500 sqft in each floor which is fairly small compared to typical house sizes in my area. The great thing about going small is maintenance headache decreases to a large extent. It's easier to keep the small space heated without using too much energy. It's easier to keep it clean on a daily basis. While everyone around us is forced to hire a full time caretaker and pay him a beefy salary to maintain their house, we can do it all on our own. It saves us a lot of money which we spend on experiences.

When he mentioned the windows in the loft saying that they were plexiglass do they open. Lofts are supposed to have egress windows otherwise it doesn't meet code.
