This video shows how to draw bending, shear and
moment diagrams for an open Frame.
This is part of a civil engineering course about structural analysis of determinate structures.
To draw the internal force diagrams for the open frame, we can divide the frame into a series of beams. In this case, drawing the internal force
diagrams will be similar to the process used for beams.
After finishing the diagrams for the beams which are the frame components, the internal force diagrams for the frame are drawn by assembling the diagrams of the beam components.
An Example is given for practice and to further reinforce the ideas presented.
