I really like my QoDosen SR-286 but if I could only carry one radio while hiking or traveling…it would be the GP-7 for SSB and full SW band. 73! Have a great day!

Nice comparison ! The pl368 does a decent job at catching signals! BTW I compared the Xhdata d109 and the dx286 and honestly I was impressed by the xhdata. It catches as well as the dx286 on the MW and SW bands. Signal strength on the screen is even higher on the xhdata, but that does not mean anything, it depends on how they implemented it. The BIG difference is on the LW band where tbe qodosen is a LOT better. With FM, the qodosen has the edge. But overall I'd recommend the xhdata for those looking for a cheap sw/mw capable radio (and it has a better sound too, longer battery life and more filter widths + mp3/bt!).

Nice vid. Is it normal the noise of the county comm receiver when you change the station/frecuency? Mine has also this noise but I don´t remember it when the receiver was newer, may be it is dirty the circuit inside it?

Yes it is a DSP based radio so it mutes or chuffs when tuning, it is normal
