I was with a fiend this morning - she told me shed been 2 a showing of a documentary last night @ IFC, titled QUEENS, featuring a very young (14, I believe she said) Chrysis. It brought back a flood of memories about wh@ a wonderful talent she was - and IS sorely missed. Yes, Chrysis died of liver issuers cause by the silicone. My friend (who is nameless, 'cos I know she's known & don't want to violate her privacy) said (about the effects her liver was having in her towards the end - I'll paraphrase: in less than 2 months, her liver was failing so much, ... you know - on second thought, as I told my friend, I want to hang on to my memories, I'm sure others do as well. Chrysis - with love & affection.

I had the honor of meeting her once. I thought she was absolutely beautiful. I'm so happy to see this old footage of her survive on the internet. Now, many would have the pleasure of seeing her talent and beauty. God bless her soul.❤

I knew Chrysis when I lived in NYC. I believe she died around 1989 and recall it was cancer attributed to leaking, poor quality breast implants.

Chrysis passed on in March of 1990. She did not have implants but rather injected silicone to augment the size and shape of her breasts. Her liver failed due to years of high doses of synthetic estrogen, among other toxicities. RIP.

Yup - that's the story. She was a good friend. I trusted her in every way. She was genius, I remember her taking me to dine with Dali and then on to Studio 54.
