Kettle Crisps are the best. The lightly salted, white pack, is my favourite. Love also the sweet chilli and their black pepper and sea salt. A bit more expensive but great brand. And the chili crisps dipped into Greek TZAZIKI is fabulous. At least I think so. You might think differently.

3:51 Actually, you were in Kensington Gardens at that point, Kat. What is often thought of as Hyde Park is actually Kensington Gardens in the west and Hyde Park in the East - the dividing line is the West Carriage Drive. Both Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are jewels. I went to Imperial College London, which is nearby (between the Royal Albert Hall and the Science Museum), so I know the area well. Indeed, I have a pretty good idea where your hotel is from the Waitrose you went to; I used to shop at Sainsbury's nearby when I was a student, which was originally built as a satellite terminal to Heathrow Airport called the West London Air Terminal. So sorry about the hair, though you did a great job of recovering the situation. Wishing you safe travels.

120V appliances don’t do well on 240V power. You need a native 240V appliance in Europe and some other places. I blew up a power strip which had a surge suppressor, and it was not happy trying to surge 240V to 120V.

@@KatNesbitt - Hair lesson learned? (LOL!!) A hair tip for you to try from my daughter: Four of the large pink sponge rollers and a good hair brush. Divide and roll your hair onto the top of your head in such a way that you're not laying on the rollers. Put your hair up this way before going to bed, and sleeping all night with the rollers in. When you get up, put on your makeup, then undo the rollers and brush out your hair. You should end up with soft curls that can often last all day, depending on your hair's body and composition. My daughter's used this method for years, it doesn't require a curling iron or similar, the sponge rollers compress easily into a quart-size ziploc bag for travel, and you know the value of a good hair brush. At least give it a try?? Cheers from GEG!
