I really didn't think I would like the International but that HX you got. I am in love. I thought I'd want is you know the usual Kenworth or the Peter built 379. But you're HX Yeah, I'm in love.

Good review, man. In my 20 yrs at Navistar, Im genuinely pleased with these HX series. LTs, RHs, and MVs seem solid, too. Times are lookin up!

Going to look at a HX today only thing that worries me is the weight.
@t.n.tgarageandperformance11 ай бұрын
I'm sure there are ways to save on weight, we just checked yes on the option sheet of this truck. I imagine my e.w. with a trailer and without the apu and bumper would be 31,500 ish

Nice video! I’ve been driving W900 pulling hopper bottom for the last 15 years and don’t know really anything about the HX. You mentioned that they’re heavier than other trucks. How much heavier are you to a similar W900? Also I need more steak in my diet, what air fryer is that? TIA
@t.n.tgarageandperformance5 ай бұрын
@macbeliever Thanks! I'm not sure what the difference would be weight wise between my truck and an equally spec'd W9, I do know that my friend's '24 389 with an X15/18spd and a 72" stand up bunk is only a couple hundred pounds lighter, (both of us have Herd Roadtrain bumpers and APUs) I imagine the KW would be about the same as a Pete. Factory sticker is 19k lbs and some change. As far as the air fryer, it's a Ninja Grill, works awesome, though I recommend a 3000w inverter to keep everything happy

Can I ask you a question what do you do when you're Driving, do you drive without a radio or anything on in the truck or do you listen to the xM or podcast or something like that
@t.n.tgarageandperformance Жыл бұрын
I jump around, mostly podcasts or audio books, I listen to way less music these days. I usually use Spotify and Audible for anything I listen to. Back when I had loud pipes on my KW, I loved just listening to the exhaust for hours on end

How did u wire up the lights above in extra storage space and bunk area. Please . Thanks
@t.n.tgarageandperformance7 ай бұрын
The lights above the storage pockets in the front, I ran wires behind the center panel down to the c.b. radio wiring, took some time and patience. As far as the lights in the bunk, I bought a 12v pigtail for random appliances, connected it to the lights hiding the wires behind the trim panel across the back and simply plug it in to the 12v power outlet on the passenger side on the rear wall

How's the turning radius on there? wide like a kenworth/peterbilt, good like a cascadia, in the middle?
@t.n.tgarageandperformance11 ай бұрын
It's fairly wide, a bit more than a rental Mack Anthem I was in before, a lot like a 389. But, I don't think my stops are adjusted in at all

Honestly I am pretty shocked they still make the Lonestar given I have only seen one of them on the road.

I see a handful, less and less so now that the HX is getting more popular
