Why? That state and its roads are just like every other in this country. I’ve driven in 47 of the lower 49. And been to every state except Hawaii and North Dakota. Would like to visit both.

How did Kevin get years of experience driving and 3 million miles if he hadn't been to southern California? The first trucking company I went to work for put me in California with 2 to 3 months of experience. On my first trip out there I thought I would be smart and leave Carson California at 4 am. Thinking I would beat the traffic. NOPE! The traffic is heavy at 4am. It never dies down to reasonable levels. I went up and down the west coast so many times that I got used to it and I miss seeing the scenery. I heard of the Grapevine Hwy for years and I went down it at 5am without realizing where I was at.

Albertsons stores are also known as Safeway stores, as they operate under the same parent company, Albertsons Companies, and often have both banners operating in different regions depending on location; other names associated with Albertsons include Vons, Jewel-Osco, Acme Markets, and Haggen depending on the area. One year the majority of the food chain stores went on strike in Southern California. Yes, those workers were union out in that area where my son lived in San Diego suburbs. I was working part time for a Safeway store chain company. They were going to send full time employees from our area, we were not union, to try and bust the strike. I reminded the employees in our store who were excited about going to Southern California that the truck drivers who delivered to the stores were Union Teamsters. No way they were crossing those picket lines to deliver groceries. And they didn't. So those workers didn't get to go. I think the strike lasted a couple of months. My son told me they still had the non big chain stores open to shop.

I live in Perris California which is east of Lake Elsinore I drove for a tow company out of Lake Elsinore off of Central/74 The roads out here suck when I drove a tow truck if I put a cup in my drink holder and I was on the freeway that cup would literally sit there and spin in circles in the cup holder half the problems I have with my hips and back are because of the roads out here in California Yes and the area out here is a 💩 hole with high crime rates

I know a guy who drove for Yellow and he said while driving down a road with stoplights came to an intersection and the light had just turned Yellow the car in front of him slammed on the brakes and he hit the car. If I had a truck behind me I would have kept going. Idiot's!

Thank you for the video! I have a question, if I wanted to get my CDL and drive truck, which carrier would you reccomend for helping with school or cost? I'm 40 and married, no kids. Wife would love to travel sometimes with me. Pay isn't an issue, I collect pension from military.

in which state is it easiest to get your truck driver's license (cdl). I have a driving license in Denmark for car, truck and bus. and also drive a truck for the next six months. then I plan to come over to your country and drive a truck.
