So I have gone through TSA 4 times with the Bone Breaker Key Chain with no problems. However, I recently had a no go with it. It was at the Courthouse in Las Vegas. The Marshall was admiring the Key Chain and looking me over as well. He tried it on and gave his palm a punch. He then smiled and politely asked me if I would mind returning it to my vehicle. It was worth a shot. I felt pretty secure with all of the Marshalls on staff and they were very vigilant.

Try victorinox recrut, spartan, camper or huntsman with a phonton light on it. If you think "weapons" douk douks work (you can argue they are easyer to clean than other folders). You might be able to carry a fruit knife everywhere but i didn`t check on that. There are also waterfilters that are smaller and/or filter more (sawyer mini, Aquamira Frontier Emergency Water Filter [there are different ones, one of them is the smallest one i could find]). Whirlpak water bags might come usefull. Have a lighter. A real watch (casio g shocks are tough) and a liquid free button compass (or probably any quality compass) might be a good idea.

Another good down to earth video Greg. I travel a lot and it is true that it's better to be overlooked and unnoticed and prepared with a few items then stocked to the hilt with tactical gear making you a Target. Many of these channels will not tell you to tone down your gear or make specialized low profile gear like you because they simply need to promote lots of fancy gear for monetary gain. I'm not downing their business model just the practical application of the advice.

In TJ while wandering around a little tipsy I got the Local Cop Shake Down. I only kept a couple twenties in my wallet and a few hundreds under the insoles in my shoes. They took the twenties. Act all upset that they took your last dime while smiling inside.

Bone I would add that I have carried a decent sized and high lumen flashlight both in my pocket and backpack through airport security in half a dozen countries. No only are they useful, but they can also be used in a hand to hand scenario as a striking tool, or to blind an assailant (not my favorite use).

@@JW-wp3yh I carry a Nitecore Mh20. Its max is 1000 lumens which is bright enough for me. Rechargeable, IP68 rated and the right size for pocket carry(in my opinion). It's also about $75. I'm just not going to put down more than that on a light.

No knives in Europe longer than 6cm (2,3622in) on flights, I can tell you that. Had a small Swiss Army Knife (5,8mm blade) taken from me in Manchester Airport. Had it on 50+ flights around Europe no problem whatsoever, the brits finally took it. Guess the guy who took it just has no fun in life at all. Whats your opinion on cargo shorts?

In EU if you have run on sam scambeg of cap you can go to prizon( litlle wacation5-10dajs) for litle knife . And I realy like kniwes and always cary pocket knife exe .Benchmade Osborne 940 and for that i can gat fine its realy gray arija. Thanks from Croatia

Good common sense tips. Don’t make ourselves a target in the first place. When my wife and I go overseas we don’t wear jewelry, just a $10 Walmart watch, tee shirt and shorts or blue jeans. Wallet kept in from pocket. I’ll get your money belt when the new ones are released as that will let me carry more than a front pocket will.

Personally, I prefer to carry a sharpened #2 pencil. If I'm feeling really tactical, I sharpen the pencil on both sides.

I have travelled extensively all over the world and I can tell you categorically that a money belt is a very bad idea. Robbers are very clever and they TARGET people with money belts particularly at the airport as they are more likely to carry large amounts of cash.

I keep some cash and a 1/10 gold coin in each shoe. Also a small amount of Bitcoin on a thumb drive. As well as art and collectibles stored around the world. Working on buying more foreign real estate because it's non reportable if it's for personal use. My estate lawyer said he can do a lot for me but the best asset protection is what they don't know you have.

Instead of a knife you could easier carry a multitool of some sort. Maybe some sort of a Stanly boxcutter with a exchangeable razorblade that you take out for travelling. Here where I live you cant carry a foldingknife without an "commendable purpose" like hunting or fishing. Or in transit to the purpose... Blades more then 7 cm (2.7 inches) are illeagal, Locking blades and blades you can open one-handed is also a serious no-no...

Sorry guys but here in the UK if the blade is over 3" its is automatically. Illegall, likewise a tanto blade of any length. You'd be best playing the dumb tourist if a cop caught you with one. Believe it or not chefs on the way to work with the tools of their trade have been arrested. Under 3 inch and the fisherman "cover" is a good idea but if you ever had to defend yourself with it from anything but a terrorist you probably get arrested and need to argue what you did was "reasonable". The blade in this vid would likely get picked up at the airport unless in checked luggage. You'd be told it was illegal and "allowed"to give it up. I've seen bins full of innocuous Victorinox folders at the airport. Crazy thing is i can buy a Victorinox off Amazon UK with "illegal" length blade, because its only illegal if you carry it.

Japan, any foreigner with any knife is a $600 fine on the spot. Does not matter if you are military with the status of forces agreement. US will ding you for a money belt even if it is only used to carry money, cards, and passports if you are pulled out for other things. US Cops like to steal. Phones with many freqs and swap able SIM Cards are excellent. WIFI Phones are also nice as they work anywhere WIFI is at; Airports, Hotels, Bars, etc. Always have a back story and know it well. An Intl Wallet that takes all the sizes of currencies around the World and fits in a front pocket comfortably. Some items can be bought at your first stops after you hit the hotel and dropped when you leave the country. Tactical Pens are good. The Key Ring/Bottle Opener is also very nice. Some items can be carried in carry ons and some can only be carried in check in luggage. Think ahead. Do not use a Range Bag as luggage as powder residue can set off sensors or a round might be deep in a fold of the bag that you missed when cleaning it out. Think ahead and learn as you go what works.

To start, big fan of what you teach. I assume you have more dealings with police due to what you do. That said Only thing we disagree with is corrupt PD in America. Obviously you are unfortunately red flagged for what you had to do to save your life and I do not feel it’s fair. I am pro PD in America. You are absolutely correct about the system being f*cked but for the most part, the guy in the field is there to help. Obviously again, yes most ppl suck but The good ones are integral for society, PD or civi. Yes some are corrupt but that’s a minority. You should always CYOA and I appreciate that mind set.
