Bourbon Moth Woodworking did a joint test and it turns out box joints are basically just as strong as dovetails. I know dovetails are sexy and a mark of craftsmanship, but if you're gluing the joint anyway, it's not actually any stronger. Turns out miter with splines was strongest (270 lbs) box joint was really good (220 lbs) and the dovetail in the middle of the overall pack tested (110 lbs). If you're going for minimum viable product, maybe break the mold of tradition and not use dovetails on the drawers. Just a thought. (And someone should go in a costume next year just to give that sausage party a little flavor.)

I understand the convenience of the machines for certain tasks but I always thought the draw to Wyrmwood was the hands on love and care in the products, even if its just some final sanding or assembly etc. I feel like I'd rather pay more for a product that took someone 15 minutes to handsand, or for hand crafted joinery than walmart level automation.
