Hi, could you do a lesson for DROOP & ISOCH MODE selection for generator, with 4% droop settings. THX

Can generator synchronised to national grid with 0 MW?

Yes of course. after closing breaker (by matching freq, phase, volt) if you don't do anything, generator is said to "floating in the bus bar" (basically doing nothing but connected to grid) 0 MW delivery.

Yes, so the energy produce by generator prime mover (the turbine) is than equal to it stored rotational kinetic energy( energy required to spin the shaft that related to the inersia of turbine generator at certain angular velocity) then there is no excess energy to transfer to the grid, it's sounds OK in theory but in real system it's kind of inapplicable since there's inconstant power / energy produce by the prime mover (it's hard to governing precisely) it's may sometimes greater than the turbine generator stored rotational kinetic energy or vice versa, we all knew that there's a lot of protection applied to the turbine generator which is one of them is the reverse current / anti-motoring protection relay which is may active once the energy produce by generator prime mover(turbine) is less than energy required to spin the turbine generator shaft (related to it inersia) at certain angular speed

​@@teddysuryadikusuma9307 There is no excess energy transfered to grid. The Prime Mover (Turbine) only supplies some mechanical power to mechanical losses(friction, Windage loss) that's all. There is no electrical load when generator is floating in the busbar.
