I love the sound from Gregory Porter. I first heard him I. 2011 at the President's hospital, Walter Reed in Maryland. This amazing voice was memorizing. I couldn't see him but that voice stayed with from that point forward .

This is what jazz needs. Ensembles🔥🔥🔥where we can see legends on stage. First time I saw Terri she was with Patrice Rushen, Holly Hoffman, and Nikki Parrott back in the early 90’s. The way Linda grooves on bass is epic.

It's my favorite tune of Mr. Porter's, as well--but I still prefer the original recording on his album w/a (very) slightly-faster tempo. Check it out--the phrasing on the studio recording is PERFECT!!!
