The Internet Computer is one of the few platforms that make sense from a practical standpoint. You get sufficient decentralization and are able to build pretty much anything directly on the blockchain, which does not share the weak point of putting data on the chain. Also, I like the ICP approach to scaling using deterministic decentralization instead of probabilistic. There is no need to replicate data uselessly.

I think normies have no idea how amazingly cryptographically secure the Internet Computer Protocol is. The most recent tech on earth!

So what other platform besides icp makes sense to you? Let me guess none really, what can they do and what have they done? Let me guess nothing. Can’t wait for crypto to be regulated, where 99% of all crypto gets delisted.

If it wasnt for the ftx dump and eth already being 2nd to btc, technology alone is not even comparable

You should have added that for the $5/year is cheap compared to legacy storage when accounting for the security costs like firewalls, security team etc. There is only one place I'll deploy my web apps from now on.

Hey, I just wanted to correct something. Ethereum doesn't have 800,000 validators, as in unique validators or entities. It actually has less than 10,000 bare metal servers since 40% of its nodes are running on AWS. The reason I say 800,000 is incorrect is because a validator can only stake 32 ETH per validator, so if you had 10,000 ETH, you'd have to divide it by 32, which would give you 312 validators. But that doesn't make sense, right?
@Coinopoly5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm not surprised. One source stated 500,00 validators, another was ~807,000, and I could swear I read one not long ago that listed something more like 7,000 - 8,000 or so. In any case, I expect BTC has the largest most robust network > then ETH > then uh.. well, something else. :) TBH when I first had the idea to start doing these versus videos, I thought - yea, I'll just spend a bunch of time getting all these facts and details. Then I'll start making videos. In short, that doesn't work out well for me. Fact is I could probably just make a video saying, "If it's not $ICP it's crap!" and I'd probably get 1,000 views. Now, if I want to talk about what DCA'ing is or cloud mining or something like that? Nobody seems to care. If I did a GREAT JOB on this video? Got way more details, made animated infographics, went on location at various sites to get certain shots, etc, etc.. I'd probably just end up spending WAY more time and money making the video, and sure maybe I'd get 10 or 20 thousand views. Or, I can put in a hell of a lot less time and effort, make 10 videos and get those same numbers of views total anyway. I know how crappy that is, but.. well, that's kinda the way it is. This is pretty much Jerry Banfield's advice to other cryptotubers. Why spend 10, 20, 100x longer to make a "great" video (like Mr. Beast would tell you to do), when that method doesn't really work in the crypto space? Altcoin Daily: doesn't get 100s of thousands of views per video. CryptosRUS: doesn't get hundreds of thousands of views per video. Crypto Casey: doesn't get hundreds of thousands of views per video. In fact, Crypto Casey's top performing video has 1.9m views, it was published 6 years ago, and it's a beginners guide for how to buy crypto. Coin Bureau: well they will break 100K views on recent videos from time to time. Congratulations. There's ONE. There's Alex Becker also however he has one of the few channels north of 1m subscribers, he's a famous pumper (people try to front run him all the time), AND he likes to trash talk for 20 minutes straight. I'm sure a lot of his views are from people trying to front run him and people that just like his humor. I could go on but I'm sure you get the point. What I try to do - and failed here on this point apparently - is to just not talk about a specific detail if I don't have the information about it. Sometimes I still make that mistake, or worse - I think I DO know, and I don't.

ICP is hands down the best blockchain. ETH is directly integrated with ICP along with BTC and others. Eth developers can use the ICP blockchain to provide full cross chain interoperability No expensive gas fee charges. (Multiply your money with ICP or double it with ETH?)

It happens. The key things are not to try to chase green candles, don't obsess over missed opportunities (there will be lots of others), learn, improve and keep pushing forward. I've lost profits by not buying something at a good time, or selling a little too soon. Overall, I've made - and taken - about $7K profits from ~$18K "invested", and I've only been buying crypto since about May 2023. Am I the bestest trader ever with an amazing record to date? No. Have I lost all my money? Not even close. As far as how things will go between now and 2025, we shall see.

Comparing apples and oranges, you should compare icp to Arweave or filecoin
@mariusmihai12925 ай бұрын
Nop. arweave and filecoin can be compared to ICP. ICP you can compare it with much more then arweave and filecoin. Because is much more then storage.
@Coinopoly5 ай бұрын
I already did compare ICP to FIL; based on storage, of course.
@Coinopoly5 ай бұрын
Can compare lots of stuff to $ICP because $ICP does so much. And I did compare $ICP to $FIL for storage; that said, I feel like digging deeper into IPFS and doing a video about IPFS. I'm not satisfied with what I learned when I looked into IPFS while checking out $FIL. Also I keep missing the whole blockchain security aspect in my videos so far.

I can't help but disagree. ETH started it all with smart contracts. Problem is, ETH is really not much more than a token database and a settlement layer because the blockchain is so weak it can't really do anything without spending 1000s of times more than makes sense. ICP took the base concept and made it actually function. So, in a sense, you're kind of right. ETH was just a proof of concept that the industry ran with and has been trying to fix for years. ICP blows it out of the water, no contest. ETH put forth the idea of putting programs on-chain in the first place. ICP is making that concept actually functional, decentralized, and scalable.
