Don't ever tell me fandom culture is "stupid." Fandoms have brought me and my best fucking friends together and that is worth the world. We've been through thick and thin together, despite not meeting in person, and I only know them thanks to fan fiction and online fandoms and from what I can see, it's the same for a lot of these people too. I'm almost 18 and people make me feel too old to be a fangirl and like I should have "grown out of it already" but idc. Fandoms are so important and are like a family. It's amazing that people can bond over a common interest even when they're thousands of miles apart. I'm meeting one of my best friends next year and I swear to god, I will meet my other one someday too. They are the only baes I will ever need.

me and my internet best friend, Sydney, met five years ago. we can't exactly remember the specific date of the time we met, so we made it officially on January the fifth. I lied and told her i was, like, fifteen when in reality I was just a small third grader 😂. she's a year older than me but in the same grade so. we text daily, all day and all night. we have each other's back, and we know something would be wrong if the other doesn't reply after 48 hours. we know each other inside out, each others family, full name, birthday, etc.,. we plan on going to the same university, and getting a dorm or apartment together. it's my goal to make sure we meet. hopefully, we get to meet after highschool. :)

i've had an ibff for almost 9 months now but we will meet in about 3 months so i understand you; i personally dont recommend you to wait a year; trust me, you will want to meet him/her more and more as time goes by so use your chance while you have it; and if you think that you two dont love each other enough to meet, think about 5 reasons why you want to meet him/her; if you can come up with even more than 5, it will be worth it
