What I love from this is seeing Infanta Sofía enjoying some one on one time with her father and then spending time together doing something they enjoy. Every time we see videos of the whole family together, there’s always some comments of people feeling bad for Sofia because Princess Leonor always seems to be much closer to their father but I think it’s all just do to royal protocol, it’s clear that he doesn’t mean to keep Sofia at arms length, he clearly loves her very much as well and that’s why it’s lovely to see him taking the time to go watch the game with her just them two.

100 years ago that would have been a consideration. it is also not out of the question now. I'm inclined to think she is going to keep her youthful good looks to attract a lot of younger men in the years to come and the prince is the future king so that alone is all he needs though I think he will have other charms as well that will attract eligible women. I don't think either will be considering political ramifications in their love life but royals do tend to bump into one another at certain kinds of events from time to time. They will likely meet again once or twice a year for some time to come.

The spanish heir is Princess Leonor, not Sofía. Anyway, It would be prohibited for the heirs of two different thrones to marry, one of them (or both) would have to renounce their dynastic rights or else one or both parliaments of their respective countries would disqualify them as heirs if they do not obey. In addition, she comes from an illustrious bloodline. She is a Spanish Bourbon--an off shoot of the French Bourbons and a relative of Louis XIV.
