Turn on switches 1 and 2 and leave them on long enough for the bulb (and its socket) to get really hot (if either of those is the light switch). 2. Turn off switch 2 and turn on switch 3 (leaving 1 also on). 3. Hurry into the room and feel the bulb. 4. Results: A) bulb on and quite hot - answer is switch #1. B) bulb off and hot -- switch #2. C) bulb on and barely hot yet - switch #3. D) bulb off and cold - switch #4.

At that point you're not even doing the mathematically ambiguous ones where you *need to* solve left to right rather than from any direction (assuming proper order of operations in both cases) to get the correct answer. 1)R+R is a stretch at best. 2)The river being dried up is no longer a river... it's a ravine or some other definition such as non-perrenial or intermitten river, plus it only eliminated about three different ways the dog couldn't have crossed, leaving a myriad of imaginative ways it could've crossed, e.g. hot air balloon, trampoline bounce, shot out of a cannon...literally anything you can dream up. 3) The lightbulb riddle needs to preface that both the lightbulb and circuit are in working condition and the bulb is properly screwed into the socket, otherwise you have no knowledge of the state of the bulb. 4) the math equation equaling 48 needs to follow the accepted rules of PEDMAS to arrive at this sum, so the riddle is formatted wrong and brackets need to be inserted. 5) The four squares and five squares are correct answers and the guy with the roman numeral V is wrong because it leaves a singular square and not multiples. That said, "technically" the host only left one triangle with his solution because he failed to move the pen high enough to close the "4" in order to create two triangles...thus properly being plural, but that is supposed to be the solution.
@Mali8029Ай бұрын
A dry river can still be a river. There are rivers that can dry on really hot days and are still considered rivers, the proper name is non-perennial.
@BuccWyldeАй бұрын
@Mali8029 And that's my point. The riddle says river, which by definition is distinctly different from non-perrenial or intermitten rivers. River by itself is defined as a flowing stream of water. Of course the riddle is flawed because it lacks parameters. We don't know how wide, deep, or fast moving the river is. The riddle doesn't specify that the only method of conveyance the dog can use is its own legs/body. The accepted answer of the river being dry or frozen makes the defined river specifically a non perennial or intermitten river due to the state of the climate or temperature of that specific region. It's much like my other examples of the state of the lightbulb or the missing brackets for the math equation. Context is everything and the devil is in the details. Some of the riddles could reasonably have multiple right answers or more specifically, no one correct answer simply because they are too vague, or lack the proper information parameters to have the answer be acceptable to only one solution. I've edited my original post to reflect the difference of definition for the other two types of "non river" rivers.

Round 18… you need to give that man a point. He answered the riddle using previously established parameters. He thought outside the box which is the point of a riddle. If “4 🔺” is “four triangles” then “V ▪️” is definitely 5 squares.

The 4 triangles answer is wrong. Their solution is 4 triangle, not 4 triangles (missing the plural). An answer to this is to take 2 pens from the second triangle and put them into the first triangle with their tips at one of the intersections positioned such that they insect the opposite pen. This gives you 3 additional triangles inside the already existing triangle, or 4 triangles total.
@blank61793 ай бұрын
ya u was saying the same but you can only move 1 pen so there ain't no proper answer

The words "I fell" were stacked like a tower so it was an "I fell tower" which sounds like Eiffel Tower. R+R was the "Sum of R" Sum R, Summer. ENTURY is the word Century without the C. A Century is a long time. ENTURY is a long time no C. Hope I explained that well enough :).

3 ways to do the 3L and 5L questions. 1) fill 3L to top and pour into 5L. Fill the 3L again and fill the 5L up with 2 of the 3L in the 3L jug. One L is remaining in the 3L jug. Now completely empty the 5L jug and put in the remaining 1L from the 3L jug into the 5L jug. Now refill the 3L jug again and then pour the 3L into the 5L jug containing 1L already for a total of four L. 2) fill the 5L full and then pour into the 3L jug leaving 2L remaining in the 5L jug. Pour out the 3L jug. Once the 3L jug is empty pour the remaining 2L from the 5L jug. Once the 5L is empty refill it. Once refilled pour 1L out into the 3L jug which has 2L inside of it, leaving only 4L in the 5L jug. 3) fill both jugs full. Then pour out exactly half from each jug. Once both jugs have only half the total liquid they can hold pour the remaining liquid from the 3L jug in with the remaining liquid in the 5L jug. Half of 3 is 1.5 and half of 5 is 2.5. 1.5+2.5=4.
@artex982 ай бұрын
#2 and #3 are wrong. You have no marks between completely empty and completely full. Otherwise #2 could be shorter: just fill 4 liters into the 5 liter jug (or fill it completely and pour out 1 liter, no need for the other jug)
@markuskopterАй бұрын
@@artex98 You don't need marks for #2. If you have 2 liters in the 3 liter jug only one additional liter fits in, which leaves 4 liters in the 5 liter jug. I'd agree on #3 being wrong, because you probably won't be able to pour out *exactly* half the water from each jug.

The up and down floors question is only hard because it's purposely worded to confuse you and make you think you 'went' down to the sixth floor, not that you're on the 12th floor hypotehtically saying 'if' you go down you'd be on the 6th floor. Not much of a brain teaser when it's really just a confusing way of stating something... lol.
@Milesco29 күн бұрын
Yeah, it's a totally bogus question.
@solarfluxman881028 күн бұрын
To get an answer of 18, it should have been worded differently. For example, "If you were to go down 6 floors, you would be on the 6th floor. If you were to go up six floors, what floor would you be on."
