Yes! Sunshine was and still is one of my favorites. I even bought it for the Switch when they re-released it with 64 and Galaxy. I’ve probably beaten Sunshine 4 or 5 times and it never gets old for me.

I think both series have merits, Mario has consistent broad appeal, while Sonic almost always encouraged skill mastery. I've always preferred Sonic, but I thoroughly enjoy both series.

8:02. Aaron how much like water do you think lava is? It's literally molten rock, now no one has ever tried but I'm barely sure that a rock boat would probably float on lava. It's not like water it's much denser. So much so that if you were to fall into lava you wouldn't necessarily think. You would skirt across the surface with the moisture in your body escaping out kind of like a drip of water on a hot pan.

Best Mario game I’ve ever played as a kid. My first game I got with my GameCube. I was fortunate enough as well to beat it before I lost it 😢. Fortunately, I was able to get the 3D All-Stars bundle with 64, Sunshine and Galaxy. Can’t wait to play this game again and relive my childhood!!

Super Mario Sunshine was different but g.o.a.t.'d for sure. Awesome game. Beating the game and getting to the end credits isn't hard. 100% it and getting all 120 Shine Sprites now THAT sucked ass and the "reward" for completing it is a slap in the face. We all know the two most infamous secret shines. That damn riverbed of death and the pachinko level.

I played Mario when I was a kid but I mostly grew up more with the sonic games since the adventure to unleashed era. But two each of it own franchised for Mario and sonic are good games for both of them it appeals to different each fans which is nice 😁
