@@SHUBHAMKumar-iu9ot in my opinion, it depends on the profile you are looking for. Before joining mtech you can competitive programming, side projects, online hackathons if you are targeting sde roles. And focus more on making maths (discrete, continuous and linear algebra) + python strong, if you are looking for data science/ analyst roles

Brother if a student has more than 3 years of gap after graduation whether he will be shortlisted in internship or get rejected

gap year can’t be the reason for rejection certainly :)
