I am still incredibly honored that I was in the crowd when Interpol first played this song live for an audience (Feb 11th 2005 Seattle, WA). When Paul stated "You're the first audience to hear this one live" we all got chills and it made the evening that much more magical. It was magical then, and I hope they play it again when I see them again on October 18th.

I don't even try to figure out how many songs Interpol plays in any given show. The most likely answers: 1 or 1,000,000. It's just how they construct their songs -- all sort of cleverly tied into each other, with a lot of other changes sprinkled throughout. It's much more interesting than the standard 'compartmentalized' song structure,

I love this song and what a performance! The reason I love Interpol is they have not changed their style in 3 albums. They have remained true to themselves. Not selling out. Just listening to Pioneer to the Falls at one of their gigs and you know this band is not into fads...

For the people that don't know, Paul is using an Ebow, which is a small device that has a magnetic field, and he hovers it above the pickups, for that sound. I have one myself, and it's a great little device, I suggest anyone go out and get one.
