Interpretation of Trivium ("out of sync" remix by Youtube 2013!!)

7 years old. That's like 87 in internet fame years. As such KZbin have decided to simulate "Old Video Alzheimers" and balls-up the audio/visual sync because it's 2013 and that's how they fucking roll!
Might very well make a shiny HD remake....watch this space!

Even Trivium themselves say they like this video. I personally just listen to Trivium for who they are, not for genre restriction. You're not going to try because it is impossible for you to do so. There is nothing outlandish or factually inaccurate in my comment. You play the song, pause at the end of every line. Write down the first thing that it sounded like to you, repeat until the song is over. I do not need to listen to the song at all when I'm making pictures in photoshop as my interpreted lyrics are already written down. When putting the video together in movie maker it's another "stop/start at the end of every line" just to ensure the timings are correct....and then the video is finished. As I said. You can comfortably make a video like this without listening to the entire song (start to finish in one sitting without ever pausing) at all. You stole fizzy lifitng drinks. You lose sir. Good day.

I'm going to see Trivium and Bullet on the "The poisoned ascendancy" tour in 2025. Rest assured there will be a banner hanging from the stands with "Boat, Rudder, strange mountain on it." At least in Glasgow anyways. Crazy that people actually sing this version nowadays as opposed to the actual lyrics. But I suppose that's what happens with the internet being what it is these days.

@Paranoidave You're opinion is always valid; with that being said, listen to the actual lyrics, learn to appreciate the complexity in the music that they create. Music may be as simple as a few notes or chords to some people but these guys go out of their ways to make more interesting music while being metal (metalcore if you're that picky) and, in doing so, applying intricate runs/sweeps/riffs and meaningful lyrics to a degree and being meticulous enough to the point where most are satisfied.

Mainly for nostalgia purposes since they were one of the first metal bands with screaming I listened to when they came out. You have to admit that bands like Trivium are important since they're good gateway bands. Nobody goes straight to Carcass. Are there any "popular" metal bands you actually like? You're quite right eagle-eared (is that a phrase?) listeners will notice that I scrubbed about a minute of the track due to cutting out Solos and other instrumental bits. This is a lyrical interpretation. Instrumental bits kill the pacing of the video, make more work for me to try and fill them with visuals and perhaps worst of all, force people to listen to Trivium for more time than necessary.

I had out-of-sync problems too, fixed it quite easily by editing the movie, going to “Audio” and then just save it (unchanged), as if KZbin would re-add the audio track or something.

Henckques Tried it. It's not simply gone out of sync. Frames that were on screen for a good 2-3 seconds before are now only up for half a second. There's no simple fix besides completely remaking the video from the ground up sadly.

@Paranoidave Reasons why they are good: ~Every one of the members has talent, helps write the songs, and cooperate as a band. they are not just wannabe players who just make noise. they are Musicians, and put thought into the music. ~Personally, i think that their variety from album to album makes them good. ~They dont just make noise, like many modern bands that give metal a bad name. Each of there songs are developed, and dont focus too much on any individual instrument.

@Paranoidave if you think that is fast, i dont know what to say. granted the solos are fast in most of there songs, but not like dragonforce, where its basically "play as fast as you can, put as many notes as you can in the scale, add some tapping, you got a solo" Triviums solos are, once again, developed, and have variety. ALSO not to mention the rhythm guitar backing the solos. It not just power chord strumming. nor is it just previous riffs repeated. it is new, and flows with the solo.
