Incorrect The definition of discipline. definition ONE (which matters) 1 - the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience. The example sentence given was .. "a lack of proper parental and school discipline" Definition TWO. 2- a branch of knowledge, typically one studied in higher education. The example sentence given was... "Sociology is a fairly new discipline" Disciplinarian. - the only definition. A person who believes in or practices firm discipline. The example sentence given was... "He was a strict disciplinarian whose word was law" So in the context I used it in my initial comment, I was correct...and YOU ? YOU WERE INCORRECT. I added the definition of disciplinarian just so the point hits a litl more thoroughly. Lol. 😏 Because in conclusion, disciplinarian, which is the word I used in my initial comment, not discipline, but disciplinarian would not be a recognized word in the dictionary, if your definition of discipline? was the correct and ONLY definition. However, your definition of discipline is the number 2 definition. Lol. And again, THAT MATTERS. Bless your heart... trying to school me, when in reality, you need schooling. THANK YOU for THAT. 🙋♀️😂🤙

@@recoveringsoul755 YOU ARE INCORRECT. See above. And next time ? Yeah go ahead and look up the word. And Make sure when you're correcting someone ..Use the actual words they used. Like I used disciplinarian. Not discipline. But either way? You're still WRONG. The definitions are above.
@recoveringsoul7552 жыл бұрын
@@libertyjo6238 I did look up the word the first, and only, time I tried to swat my first child over her diaper. She hit back, as she should. Why on earth would I want to destroy her natural instinct for self preservation? I looked up the word in my dictionary. The twelve disciples were being taught, read the Bible to learn how. Not with "punishment". If you attend college like I did, you may have people ask you which discipline you are studying. And then I called the pediatrician to ask advice, they referred me to their library, I checked out some books and videos on successful parenting techniques. You act like I don't know what I'm talking about. I was spanked and did not remember a single "lesson" from those. However, when my parents actually TAUGHT me the natural consequences of my actions, now those lessons I remember to this day. If I drew on the wall, I had to wash and paint the entire wall. If I stole something I had to return it and apologize. If I found money or jewelry, I find the owner, if I can't find the owner is the only time I can keep it. Found cash on the sidewalk once, turned it in to the police dept. After 30 days no one claimed it. I had to save half in my savings account, but got to spend the rest. The amount was 36 times my weekly allowance.

@@milanium8569 It depends on the lie. One real world interrogation technique is the "we know everything" approach. The interrogator walks in holding a fat file of mostly blank paper, pretends to be bored, recites some obvious facts about the suspect and tells the suspect that they know all about them and is just there to fill in the blanks. Another is the "war crimes" approach where the interrogator comes in all "bad cop" accusing the suspect of committing extraordinarily horrible crimes and promising to have them shot or incarcerated for life. The suspect then falls all over themselves trying to exonerate themselves spilling real information all over.

Why can I only hit "Like: once? KZbin should offer a one to five star continuum. This would deserve about 100 stars.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a Comcast rep while we were waiting on something. I mentioned I have severe sleep apnea and that I couldn't tolerate the breathing machine you can get that's supposed to help you sleep. That thing hurt so bad, with the mask having to be tight enough to create a seal, and also the constant pressure on my lungs making them ache even on the machine's lowest setting, that I couldn't even lie in bed awake without ending up in tears, nevermind go to sleep. "Forget waterboarding, just make people use that thing and they'll tell you anything!"
