As someone who tried to play professional for years and have gone against multiple pros not just in ranked but in scrims they don’t make you feed or die they just strip all of your farm and set specific people ahead/behind they aren’t so much better at the game that you int but they’re so much better at adapting to situations and using teamwork and coordination to win

This comment right here is what I’m experiencing in High Diamond/Masters queues. Those exp gaps really set you back and death matching is just not a thing for some teams unless you really get yourself out of position and they pounce on your bad pathing in JG. Or you step up in lane when you shouldn’t step up. Other than that most deaths come from objective play (GF/FG/Pyro/Beacon). Which are incredibly important in these games.

Another thing with playing against high masters+ scrims is some of those teams just need one fight to snowball the game I haven’t played comp in a few years but as an example I played against pilot spreen and those guys in a tournament and we were ahead by 2k gold at 12 minutes they have 4 people at our red respawn and duo tries to come help us but they kill me before duo gets there and win the fight for the rest of the game we were on defense they bled us out and we lost at like 32 with all birds down if you aren’t as good as the other team it can just be one fight and that’s basically game

Yesterday, I hooked a mouse and keyboard up to my Xbox and wow is the response time so much better. Also, turning on a dime with a 1/16th of an inch movment of my wrist haha. Hitting basics is so much easier. I have over 3000 hours on this game on console though, so idk if I'd ever be able to make the switch. The movement felt so weird to me using a keyboard and I think it was kind of difficult to activate abilities. I'd probably have to get a good mouse that I can map abilities to.

I’ve dedicated to actually trying to climb ladder this season and it’s freaking tough.. lost like my first 8-9 in a freaking row……… I know that part of the reason we lose is because I’m terrible at supp and solo so if I get those roles we basically lose on the spot…. Even my jng and carry isn’t as solid as I thought from my many years of casuals.. mid is basically the only time I hard carry even when I’m try harding my jng and carry roles.. I foolishly thought I was solid at both but realize how behind I am at every role that’s not mid.. 😂😂😂 I know I’ll get better by playing though. Imo matchmaking is super good. I play against people who lose early but win late.. win early but lose late.. don’t win or lose at any stage.. I play against it all and I think it’s a wholllleeeee lot better matchmaking than casuals.. also one thing I’ve learned is that if your supp is on coms when you load in you’ve literally won the game….. I actually haven’t lost a game where I had supp on coms before.. those mf’s always have a sentry and shell when you need it. Lmaoooo

Also I have a strong feeling the reason my carry and jng roles aren’t as strong as I’ve felt in the past years is certainly because I don’t really know the best builds now.. I’m too scared to try new builds because it’s ranked and I don’t want to mess it up and I think that they’re going to work but I have a feeling if I were to build the new items and build better I would be as good as I was last season in both roles. Mid items haven’t really changed at all so they’re easy to build..

I was alright before I took my break. I never bothered with Ranked tho; I’m too impatient to painstakingly wait just to choose characters. I haven’t stepped back on the battleground just yet, so I don’t know if I’ll still be that great (I don’t doubt it too much tho). Bronze: No mechanics or game sense whatsoever. Silver: some mechanics but plays like it's arena. Can't understand being 5 levels down means they'll keep getting steam rolled every fight. Gold: Mechanics are better, doesn't understand objectives or how to end. Poor team fights, target selection and farming. Platinum: good mechanics, between game sense, better team fights, still feeds occasionally, poor decision making still Diamond: mechanics and good farming. Proper team fights. Good objective play and understanding of the game Masters: YOU'RE NOT A GM YET. But still a good player

Ranked is such a tricky thing cause it is a team based game. You can't win any game you want based on your own skill every time. Sometimes you play support or solo and you do everything perfect but your adc or mid feed 7 deaths in 8 minutes and the enemy gets hyper fed or they split push every tower cause your team just can't take it. Hell I played a ranked game yesterday where my team member jokingly said "L carry" during the pick phase cause they didn't like Apollo as a carry and they quit the game right then and there. Of course we lost. Of course we lost elo. But how are we supposed to win that? Just blows.

Matchmaking is trash though honestly. Literally just beat five teams of Gm's or with Gm's yesterday. It's not really so much about skill. It's more about how much time you're willing to sink into queing constantly. That plus smurfs/ alts/ people who don't play or haven't played this season in a certain playlist. Yeah climbing the ladder can be tough bc a random -100 can come from a bronze who didn't place ter and was Gm last season and that isn't rare that happens like once a day FR.

Yo know on 2019 i got to master, an it was one of the worst thing ever. I enjoy the game a lot more playing casual and sometimes y even find it harder. Now that i dont really have time to play and i may only do 3 games esch week, i have even more fun than when i was a try hard.
