I like the way you have your videos formatted, the highway signs and exit signs showing up on the screens is a nice touch. Keep it up!

Imagine the 5 years of hard work that all those men went though to build The Hoover Dam. Amazing

Thanks Kyle! I drove that road on my way to Vegas last November. It turned out really nice and saves a lot of time and traffic bypassing the border towns in Nevada.

Nice ride- I always did like west coast highways and Nevada is no exception even though I have never been there- nice ride! Always good to see a new freeway and to see how it looks new! Very nice ride!

some nice scenic views there in the arizona/nevada desert. It's nice to have a shiny new interstate.

I drove over the dam in 2016. I would have stopped for longer than a few minutes to take some photos, but it was 112 degrees that day.

Very nice video Kyle! Me and a couple of my friends traveled down to Las Vegas over spring break in 2018. When we were driving down to Hoover Dam, it would have been so nice to have I-11 opened. It took us 55 minutes to get from the Railroad Pass Casino, to the NV-172 Exit. Then another 25 minutes to get through dam security. Interstate 11 looks well built and it looks like it's serving it's purpose very well too.

I found out that Oregon and Washington are not interested of having I-11 to be built, because of highway budget cuts, or lack of highway funding, even if two states are the fastest growing states, even in the eastern half of each state. In Nevada, I-11 will serve Las Vegas, Indian Springs, Beatty, Goldfield, Tonopah, Hawthorne (south of town) because of Hawthorne Ammunition Plant is on north side of US-95 around Hawthorne, then I-11 will go near the California/Nevada state line between Hawthorne and Topaz Lake, 20 miles south of Gardnerville in Nevada, then I-11 will bypass the twin unincorporated towns of Gardenville and Minden off US-395, then it run concurrently with US-395 in Carson Valley, and then I-11 will run concurrently with I-580 between Carson City and Reno Nevada where it ends at I-80 as if northern terminus. Total of future I-11 in Nevada: approximately 520 miles.

Interstate 11 now ends at the 215 Beltway in Henderson
@PGHammer21A5 жыл бұрын
Actually, it doesn't even end there; the planning stages have not even taken the highway north of the end of I-515 - or in Arizona at all (the southern end is that of the the Tillman Bridge). North of the end of I-515 is a quagmire politically; do they use US 95 (creating an I-11/15 duplex) or US 93? Check google Maps; both are possibilities - and both go toward Reno as well. Through Arizona is just as messy politically.

The sad thing about this bypass is that it's probably going to hurt Boulder City with it having less tourist traffic only time will tell
@RobdaVegasMailman5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, a few businesses have already closed or relocated because of the new road...but it WAS badly needed. If you got caught in traffic going into / out of BC, you were screwed, since you really didn't have any alternate routes to take.

Does anyone else agree that the 55 MPH zone at 2:46 should be a 60? I see no logical reason for that zone to be at 55.
