May I ask how you got that tone? That sound is almost like ASMR to my ears. It brings to mind Sithu Aye's Set course for Andromeda. Thank you for the lessons, you've really put a spark back into my playing.

Clean tone with a tiny bit of pedal drive all from an axe fx, and then delay/reverb/chorus from a neural plugin. There is also a piano-ish type synth doubling the whole solo, so that may be shaping the guitar tone a bit.

That’s one hip solo. Still trying to figure out how exactly you are thinking of those outside sounding licks.

So basically everything I'm doing in this solo is what I discuss in that lesson. That first big run that takes me up to the high register is me "pretending" Bmin7b5 for example. There are some moments where I am playing normal minor with b5, so it has a mildly out sound. However there is one moment that I am actually "pretending" out of key chords, something I didn't discuss in the lesson. Those are all the hints I'm giving!

I think I got down C1-C7 in terms of what notes they have in them. Still working out how to mesh sounds together and make melodies with them. New problem is when I try to shred or switch positions fast I lose track of where I am. Do you have any tips for when your brain can't keep up with your fingers?

Besides the annoying and unfortunate answer of slow down and practice, I'd say focus on a few key notes instead of everything you are doing. If you have a fast run don't think about every note you're playing, just think about the last note of the phrase. Like "I know at the end of this phrase I'm going to target A, D's 5th" or whatever. This will allow you to play more with your "hands" (meaning faster technical passages) but still keep track of what you're doing with your brain, and make sure it works. Hope that helps!
