Beyond the fact that this music/movie is absolutely stunning, does any musician noticed that this music was composed on a tempo of 60 bpm ? Like minutes, seconds ! Time. I'm sure this was intentional. Like the fact that the ship is made like a clock, 12 parts, turning ... Hans Zimmer, Christopher Nolan, you fucking geniuses. Best movie ever.
@Kosh80010 жыл бұрын
I noticed that and I'm not a musician. It's a ticking clock because time is such a big part of the movie. We're kind of used to hearing a tick tick tick sound when we're stressed or pressured, so this music fits perfectly. There is also the imagery of the spinning station that's like a clock. I love this music. And the pipe organ is haunting and beautiful at the same time. It also brings in sort of religious meaning for some people because most people hear the pipe organ in old churches. Altogether a very deep movie in both story, visuals, and music.

Stryke It's because of some other reasons, not really about being loud and epic. It covers the whole human hearing spectrum and allows you to produce many layers of music with just one person. This piece is really nice but organ use is quite simple in it.

Words fail to describe the stakes of what this scene represents. The improbability of the action being undertaken against the forces at play with zero margin for error. The very fact Cooper makes the decision so quickly is his only chance. As ridiculous as it is, there is no hesitation. In the most unforgiving of environments this is a hail Mary because no other options remain. To score such a scene, to capture it's essence so exquisitely leaves me speechless. HZ just seems to improve with every OST.

Gracias Kip y Nolan.

@Limits68 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying science isn't a tool: of course it is an instrument as it can be used for a certain means to an end. But it constitutes an entire view of nature, knowledge, truth and brings a long certain values and is much more. I think maybe you're referring to technology more than to actual science? a lot of people don't give a shit about science and don't know science but still can pick it's fruits through technology's use of science. I recommended Heidegger because he proposes that science actually already uses a way of thinking that is essential to modern technology: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Question_Concerning_Technology There you go buddy, enjoy the great music :)
