I’ve had some bad gc experiences but this is on you guys, I would’ve been so annoyed if I was looking to actually test and buy a high end acoustic there that day. That room isn’t a private space, I’ve been on the other end of this situation and it’s incredibly annoying to be drowned out by this wonder wall type shit when you’re about to drop 3k. You guys are assholes..

I am a CSM at Guitar Center, and I can tell you, he was actually doing his job. he wasn't disrespectful or rude whatsoever. those rooms are also not practice studios, you are allowed to try out and play the guitars, but you have to be mindful towards the staff and other customers around you. Also, did you know Guitar Center offers lessons?

As a rule of thumb, I do not spend any of my money at Guitar Center. I won't go into the reasons why. But it doesn't matter what music store this happens at, you are the jerk here, not the employee. You beat on the acoustic guitar for several minutes like it's a childs toy. You're not playing it, your beating on it loudly for attention. And you set up a smartphone to video yourself doing it. I don't get it! You can play three chords, so you and your bud now need to put on a concert in a music store with instruments you don't own, making guitar faces like your slaying some intricate solo. I would've told you to either buy the instrument or leave the premises. Grow up!

It's the legendary T Bone!!! Just kidding. At least you could stay a while in this GC acoustic room. I went to my local GC for the first time a couple of years ago and went in to their Accoustic room. It was honestly 100 + degrees f in there and at least 90% humidity. It was stifling I had to leave. This was in the winter time too. I was asking an employee for help with something else and I mentioned the temps in that room and he said "we like to keep it warm for the customers". But it was too hot/humid. That can't be good for those guitars. About a week later I took a friend there after telling him about it and it was much cooler/fine. Stopped in again in the summer and it was back to sauna levels. Needless to say I will never buy an acoustic guitar from that store!
