What a club to support! They conjure elation in one season and a few years later embarrassment and disappointment. Welcome to lower league football in a forgotten northern town. Lets hope the yoyo effect continues and we bounce back.

Shite season but hopefully we can get rid of 70% of the squad one way or another and start afresh. Getting outplayed by much better sides with far bigger budgets most weeks wasn't much fun anyway. Our season was over the moment we lost both Arblaster and Devine. Not only because of their individual quality but they also made those around them a little better too. Ultimately until we can actually start to spend a bit of money on good players, we're a League Two level club.

Who would want to buy a relegation team. The owners have made mistakes but their heart is Port Vale. Many owners have not.

We (Bolton) had a team full of academy players relagated to league 2 and an hour away from administration but we was still bought and look at us now we have a million pounds worth of players sat on the bench alone and then the rest

There hearts might in vale But they have spent fuck all on the squad from the start They bring in loan after loan how can you ever have a settled squad To many shit players As a vale fan of 50 years im sick to death of these owners running the club on the cheap We can sell this club to someone thats willing to spend on players So do it for christ sake and sell us

Firstly I pay tribute to PV fans at this difficult time I must say I was shocked and flabbergasted the PV board gave Darren Moore a 5 year contract given Moore's managerial history,.. When he was head coach at our club he walked out.. At Sheffield Wednesday he divided their fanbase with his style, and upon promotion he held a meeting with SW owner demanding a 4 year contract with a vastly improved salary AND a financial war chest for new players..the owner refused so Moore walked out.. At Huddersfield he was a failure, with their fans demanding his sacking.. So given the above why the PV board give him that 5 year contract.. At least Darren Moore has the achievement on his CV he is the only manager/head coach to get two clubs relegated in the same season..

Agree he’s not a political but he has one similarity he bares no responsibility at all ok again it’s not all his fault however since his arrival there has been no improvement at all , in fact it’s got worse. Finally I stand by an earlier post he talks inane drivel.

Bradford fan in peace!! At least we can look forward to our usual good games and atmosphere (that's if the stars don't align and we manage to go up via the play-offs) Think the sacking of Darrel Clarke was where it went wrong. They should have made him take a sabbatical for the rest of last season and then come back refreshed. Unconvinced, the hapless Moore (who by the way was a hero of our Premiership promotion winning team) will do much for you next season.

The criticism earlier this week about Darren not saying " we " when referring to the club has been dealt with here in this interview. Sad day however we move forward together and let's get this right in the summer. Two proven strikers, a Mr Nasty in midfield and some pace on the flanks is required.

Not sure if it’s just a trait of Darren’s or what but he genuinely puts little to no emotion in his interviews. I mean, I’m not saying he ought to break down and cry or anything, but he sounds exactly the same each time. Win, lose, draw, relegation. I’d be interested to see one of his vale team talks

Was at the match today fans brilliant again carol need to address the fans with an apology all the rubbish of championship ready and filtcroft ideas cost us in the end we need to focus on the football side player investment is a must

i hope he stays, dont blame him at all, will the best of the bunch stay though? id be said to see ripley, garrity and chislett go, what is going on with the clubs finances? why are we in this much debt? we had a below average wage budget I believe for the league but we never spent on players or got good or pretty much any targets, clearly money is an issue.
