I think it's a little unfair to say Nathan has gone from a decent defender to not up to league 1. There's been many one to one battles where he's kept decent forwards quiet, but it's absolutely obvious the system and style of football the club tried to make their identity didn't suit him (understatement). If Moore goes back to basics, he'll be an asset next season.

Smith, in 2024, is a Non League defender at best. You need all players on a football pitch to be comfortable on the ball. He has no technical ability. His leadership is also extremely questionable. People think he's a 'proper defender' but he wins no aerial duels and has been run rings around this season and last. He needs to go.

Well said Nathan on the fans, that’s been a long time coming…management staff over recent times are forced by Phil to even acknowledge the fans turned up…equally it’s time the vale fans put the knives away, the players weren’t intentionally losing and if there’s booing at the last game, I’ll be making an early exit

I’m sorry to say this but Nathan Smith isn’t league quality anymore. His all round game has dropped off dramatically and he’s not even fit for league 2. If Carol doesn’t properly invest ON THE PITCH then Vale will go out of the league.

This is absolutely correct but also where the problem is, for a business women like Carol infrastructure is an obvious route to go, she sees results and improves the overall experience for all. Investing in the team is a huge gamble, more akin to roulette than business, but sadly this is the risk she has to take. Her hesitance is understandable but is also our undoing.

Time to leave Nathan. As a footballer you are absolutely dreadful and nowhere near league quality. A fresh start for everybody. I don’t want another season of you pinching strikers through to lack of ability.
