Interview: Dometic explains inflatable swag and tent design

Dometic Tents are brilliant but can I suggest that the additional Canopies they sell have a door on the front? When you have a cooking area set up in the 301 Air TC canopy, you have to move it all inside the main tent when you leave. It is such a small addition but would make it perfect. Thank you.

The whole swag? I guess so, but you'd need a decent sized stretcher for the two-person swag though. A stretcher didn't come up in any of the talk around the product though.

Came here for the 2x4 - no 2x4 shown. That's a bummer.

Sorry, not sure why I came up in a search for the 2x4. You can see it in the background, but I believe we summed up most of the design features talking to the 4x8, which transcend to the 2x4.

I'm not sure I understand your question? Which tent/swap are you referring to from the video? And what do you mean it's not fully inflatable? I have a video somewhere of them deflating it I can share to show how it goes down to nothing?

@@motivatedtravel all of them. Its obvious that they aren't fully inflatable, because when he put his hand on the tent is fluttered. It wouldn't do that if it was inflated because of the air pressure. I already mentioned the fact that in the video he mentions that the fabric breaths. That wouldn't make sense if its inflated. I've seen other video on this product that admits its just the poles and floor that are inflatable.

@@williampennjr.4448ummm….you know the inflatable parts are sealed tubes? They are not made out the breathable fabric. It’s not a pressurised tent, it just has air poles (like an inner tube of a tire) with breathable fabric fly.

Who makes a swag, especially a 2 person swag, with only 1 entry? By far the biggest oversite on the swag. It has such promise but still missed the mark.

he marketing/sales team at DOMETIC are fools... why they REFUSE to support the products they make is beyond me.. the official USA dometic website page does not even list this as a product .. no pics.. no specs.. nothing.. like it never was even made.. how stupid can a company be? we see these reviews .. want to purchase the tent .. go to the dometic website.. and NOTHING .. they are too stupid or lazy or just plain dumb to even list the product available .. if you cant sell it or its sold out or what ever at LEAST put something on the website explaining the issues.. putting NOTHING on the website makes people PISSED off because we know damn well you make the product but refuse to list it on the official webpage .. thats about the stupidest move ever. .how do you expect to sell products when you cant even list them on the website.. makes me doubt the customer service and management team at dometic.. if i cant trust you to run the website correctly how are going to do with any issues i might have and have to deal with the company in the future.. just plain stupid move by dometic .. just plain ignorant .. you think people who see all these reviews wont look on YOUR WEBSITE for info and to purchase YOUR product that YOU sell?.. just crazy .. just stupid logic .. who runs that webpage and marketing .. they SUCK .. SORRY TO RANT .. but this is unacceptable for any one in the states looking for info about the product that they like tp pretend does not exsist .. just stupid .. great job on your reviedw .. crappy job by dometic trying to promote and sell the product ..just plain stupid move by dometic

I'm reallly sorry to hear all that Gabriel, very frustrating indeed. I must admit, it seems readily available here in Australia. And that's odd as we're usually last to get things. I wonder what's going on?

@@motivatedtravel poor marketing and promotion if you ask me .. they put out these videos on youtube and pretend that only people in australia watch youtube.. DUH HELLO youtube is world wide and when you put a product out with a full dometic review on the dometic channel on youtube but then when people go to check out the product on the website they just refuse to admit they even make the product .. again .. not your issue and sorry to vent but man it pisses me off to see something i might actuaaly pay for and want to buy but to be ignored and totally dismissed by the company and its poor choice to not even list the product specs. they could say hey we only sell this in this area at this time but check out our authorized retailers like tentcity who do ship world wide.. i would not be pissed at all if they just did that .. explain the specs and give pics and general info and say its not for sale yet in the states or anything but to just make me jump through hoops trying to just see the specs is INSANE and now they have taken a potential customer and made a life long hater of the company.. great job dometic .. way to go ..
