I don’t think everyone realizes the extent of the financial damage that the club suffered since being sent down. Not only did we miss out on European income all those years but we were robbed blind by a number of individuals. In addition the SFA etc did their very best to impose financial penalties. Now add to that the money spent on players over the last few years who never performed that we lost money on plus the cost of changing managers it should be no surprise that we are broke. It was unprofessional for the board to mislead the Manager but we should be grateful to him for sticking with us- a true professional. Across the city guys ☘️ but always appreciate honest reactions from both clubs and enjoy comments from all the honest genuine supporters..yes we can have the rivalry but we also have the passion.. know what its like with the purse strings...lets be honest start last season we couldnt string to passes together in one game and in the next we played more like Celtic..but new system was tough on lot of the players..pulled it together when we needed too won comfortable at end but like urselves strange season All kicks of again in a few weeks so here's to 24/25 season guys..see u next may one way or the other ....

a bit of a backstory - i'm from a different country, but have been living in Glasgow for over 19 years. and i never liked football. but my father is a massive Liverpool fan and when SG came to Rangers i had to start following the club, because he was on the phone 3-4 times a week asking about everything Rangers related. and, somehow, the club grew on me. and now i'm a massive Rangers fan myself. now, for the last couple of years i had a deja vu kind of feeling. i remember when Rangers got relegated because of financial issues. and those issues, if i'm not mistaken, were (in short) a result of buying expensive players. too expensive for Rangers. to my knowledge so expensive, in fact, that the then owner(s) had to set up some kind of tax avoiding scheme (or something similar) to be able to pay those players. yes, they dominated the league, but where did it take them in the end? i may be wrong about this, though, i am no expert. but that's what i remember. i wasn't paying close attention to football back then. i'm not saying the situation is the same, but it sems to me that the board and whoever is in charge of recruitment (or was, rather) are doing something similar. buying expensive players to get the 55 done and then... eh, well, we'll think of something when we get there. and now that they're "there" they have no clue what to do. they have no money to buy good players, huge wage bill, manager that was clearly promised something completely different when he took the job and from the looks of things no chance of competing. how is Celtic managing to find great young players, develop them and then sell them for huge profit? is it something specific only to Celtic? or are people that run Rangers in it just for the profit? to make money quick and then let someone else take care of the mess? it looks like it to me. life was easier when i didn't care about football or Rangers 😄
