Kramer, who owns multiple Chicago Bears records, shared his honest thoughts on what Caleb Williams brings to the Chicago Bears offense.

1995 was good but 1997 was meh, and 1994/1996 he barely played to injures. You don’t have to kiss his ass because he had one good season, I’m sure even he will tell you that he probably didn’t play up to a standard that he held himself up to.

Jimmy Mac had some good years in the 80’s, but couldn’t stay healthy. Harbaugh wasn’t bad, and blossomed for the Colts, Ditka did him no favors with the Bears. I have concerns with Caleb, and hope he is great.

I really like Erik’s down to earth demeanor. He understands his place in Bears history while at the same time, knowing that his career didn’t go the way it could’ve but find definitely positive ways to look back on it to find the positive. Like combining the coaching staff from his Bears days with a Lions team that I fiercely hated.

Love the interview. Good to see you EK! I think it was good for Caleb to struggle early. We often don't learn as much from winning. We tend to learn more from our failures and then learning what to do to improve. And you are right about winning a Superbowl. Jimmy Mac won one and he is revered. Cutler was a much better QB, but didn't win the big one and then took alot of flack for his attitude. Go Bears!! Bear Down!!

All "Smokin' Jay" references aside, Cutler was cancer. He was not a good leader, he was not a leader at all. When he was a Bear, people would say that all his teammates were behind him. What do you think they're going to say? Anytime you hipcheck one of your linemen, you don't deserve to be under center.

He played for the Lions in the early 90's, but not the Vikings that I know of. He played QB for the Bears from 94-98 I believe.

I think everyone is pushing CW just like JF,and Kramer knows it.Kramer clearly doesn't agree that CW isn't the best prospect of the last 20 years.I don't believe he is either. Maybe in time he could be good, but the starting job should be opened up to Bagent as well,not just given unproven to CW.
