What is it like being a gay FTM? What happens if you want to have a baby? This is a fascinating interview that I would have liked to continue for hours, but your attention span isn't long enough for that, so we cover the basics.

As a cis gay man can I just say, thanks for the video. Being in a relationship with a FTM gay guy has changed everything I thought I knew about the transgender community. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thanks for posting the video.

Goodness me, I needed this comment. I'm a gay trans guy and I'm kinda scared I won't ever get a husband one day (obviously not now because I'm 14 and afraid 😂) but you know, thanks.

It´s really great to hear that, I hope the two of you are happy. I´m cis, gay and I was just wondering if there are ftm/cis male gay relationships out there.

Damming of emotional floodgates was hard for me. Felt numbing and I feared I would not be able to cry when I needed to. But after about 6 or so months, that evened out -- and I'm just a regular crying sissy boy. :) (For me, being emotional is also part of my identity so I was glad not to lose it entirely.)

Thanks for your interview with awesome Spencer. I'm glad you guys finally got to meet and share the amazing lives you are now living. I do like to caution others to consider what scientists are predicting for our future, something most people don't give much thought to. I hope you two had a grand visit.

I think its really interesting hearing about someone who went off T to try and get pregnant. Thats something I've been reevaluating myself. I'm not on T or anything. But growing up I had this fantasy of becoming a parent and getting pregnant. And while it feels different even looking back at that, part of me is like, well i have the body for it... why not? haha But there are other ways I've heard of trans guys having babies without carrying them. So thanks for this video Forrest!

Thanks for this. I’m closeted in a ‘straight’ marriage. At 51 I’m pre medical transition- and hearing others stories helps.

Does anybody know more about fertility and HRT? I'm wondering how going on T for about a year would affect someone's chances to get pregnant but it's so hard to find accurate information.

I am always confused when I hear them speak. I recently saw one that is now in love with another transgender like herself /himself. I suspect that in the near future this will be a new community that will emerge and demand to be recognized.

Good! They should be recognized and respected, not hidden away, shameful, or shunned. They are humans just trying to live in a way honest to their souls. My heart has love enough for everyone...everyone's heart does, if they let it. It is ok to be confused...give it a while to sink in.

I don't understand why the trans guy would want to go away for the last two months if he become pregnant. If he did turn up pregnant, wouldn't his husband be the father of the baby? Wouldn't he want his husband with him when he gave birth? Or was the comment ablut going away supposed to be a joke?

Thanks so much for joining the conversation. This "transgender" identity is still in the process of being recognized and understood by the main stream. There is a lot of educating to do, but transgender has always existed. Sexual identity is broken into: physical (xx, xy, etc), attraction (gay, straight, bi, etc), and gender (man woman etc). When someone is transgender it means simply: The gender and physical is misaligned. Some believe that there is a physiological "wiring" from the brain to the body that occurs already in vitro. People are born transgender, and as soon as they can speak express that their body is wrong and they are not as they appear. It is as confusing and frustrating for the person who is transgender, as for those around them to understand what it means and why it is. I am glad you checked out this video, it is not one of the more educational videos, but it is interesting. Just thinking about the topic and sharing your perspective, even if that perspective is confused is helpful.
