It wasn't even a rout. Only lost by one goal. A harder worker than Phil, there isn't. In being annoyed, let's not forget all that. Parky and his right hand man parkin must be the only two people who think Lee and Palmer will work together. Hopefully that now finally will be the end of that idea. Three strikers on bench , faal nowhere to be seen half a million purchase. No shorts on target first half, sums it up once again. We can buy all the quality in the world , but if playing them out of position or stubborn with tactics and how we set up, then it wont make much difference. Poor man management i thought tonight. Stevenage manager was asked , you knew wrexham were going to come at you second half didnt you, he said hesitated and said yep solely just long balls. We one dimensional, set up to defend, more than attack. We loving the ride , but the football is more often than not awful to watch. We just dont set up to win , its more drop deep and hope to pinch a goal. Away games to come , now this will be a true test.

4 points from a possible 15 since the start of the year.Its not the fact we list,once again its the overall performance (lack of) and the team selection & tactics. What is parky seeing in Palmer & Lee that justifies putting them on from the start. Okonkwo,wow.Absolutely shocking from him last night,again.Its a shame Callum Burton is out for the season.He is by far a better keeper. 3 away games coming up and although we can all see things need changing,there is no way Parky will change it. The way we’re playing,we will be fighting for a spot in the play offs come the end of the season.

Arthur wasn’t with it tonight he looked in Dreamland he looked like he wasn’t there? Even if we don’t change formation, we should keep every game strategy fresh and surprise every team. Of course we will have bad games. Every team does. Me personally i have always found matty james a bit useless palmer shouldn’t even be in the squad anymore 🤦‍♂️ lee still looks effective but lacks the support from other team members why didn’t palmer make a run for the goal while it was wide open and only one defender in his way? He played it out to barney who then hoofed it to mcclean its same tactics each game that is killing us and not enough tactical effectiveness in the midfield

Parky cost us that game with his team selection and insistence on sticking with Palmer and Lee up front, one playing out of position and the other unable to hold up or head a ball, which should be the mainstay of a big striker’s game. Stevenage played their pressing game well from the off. We are desperately short of pace in the team. Was it me, but should have Arthur saved the 2nd goal; he did make contact with the ball? His kicking game is abysmal. Having said all this, I would have snatched your hand off at the start of the season for our current standing!

He took blame and said he has to look at himself. I hope that means he will rethink this Palmer and Lee situation. Lee shouldn’t ever be up front. And Palmer starting every game for his defense isn’t the right decision. We didn’t expect to go up this season. But with how this season has been, we shld definitely go for it now. Parky will get it fixed.

I'll always trust you Parky, what you have achieved so far is not forgotten. Is now the time to trial a 4-5-1 formation? We have depth in midfield and keep slipping at the back. Max strong as ever, Eoghan will come back stronger, Scarr needs more minutes and Brunty has been massively missed. Solid back line.

For that game and for the away game at Stevenage as well. We've always struggled against big physical sides. We always struggled v Woking in the NL and now Stevenage are out nemesis on L1. This was always supposed to be a consolidation season. It's bonkers that we're third.

Phil does need to take full responsibility for the lose. Putting those players out there who can't score a goal is insanity. Lee needs to drop back to his position. Keep Scarr out there till he is back to where he was before he came to Wrexham and the defence will be solid again. Defence needs to clear rebounds after a save from the keeper, not fault the keeper for what they claim was an easy rebound. This finger pointing has to stop. Wrexham got pounded as a bunch of individuals not a team. Pull that lad back from Dundee United and make these guys compete for the shirt at striker.

The biggest thing for me is we have been very poor in the first half of games of late don't live to criticise the players or the manager because what they have done for the club as we all know has been magnificent since rob and ryan took over the club we are playing at a higer level so its not going to be a walk in the park that said lee and palmer combination not wrking mulls needs a run of games who to partner hom up front for 90 minutes the problem

Honestly a few players on the are a huge problem. McClean being one of the biggest problems. He’d rather complain and cause drama than keep his team together. Players look miserable under his leadership. Rathbone is sloppy and Marriot is not connecting his passes.

Phil and the coaches need to take responsibility for the tactical errors and poor preparation. The players are good but team selection is awful - Lee isn't a centre forward and he needs to play alongside Mullin to get the best out of both. Mullin and Marriott looked sharp but not being used properly. Team doesn't know how to press as a team, looked like a rabble at times - coaching issue. Defensively we were all over the place, poor structure and cohesion. Players not looking at the ball at corners, too busy blocking and don't know what's going on. As always too many long balls; we lost 75% of headers in the first half but kept pumping and ball long (same as against Shrewsbury). Underlying problem, linked to lack of press, is that we failed to put the, under pressure. When they saw we weren't at it, they came at us and they were right. New players won't solve the tactical and structural problems, we need better coaching.

playing lee up front makes no sense unless we have no strikers available which just isnt the case atm. Palmer has been awful for a while now and cant seem to do the things hes in the team for ie holding the ball up or winning headers ( he barely seems to even make a challenge anymore).TOC in defense has always made me feel uncomfortable but hes steady enough , however scarr and brunt are better options imo . Mcclean , decent but should be the option from the bench not starting every game as he keeps getting found out lately , Matty james , again great player on the ball and barely puts a foot wrong but he not there for his pace is he. Im not gonna slag parky off (just yet) as he has taken the club from non league to league one by playing a certain brand of football but mate , dont be so stubborn in your team selection and be bold , adapt a bit more to the league youre in , i feel we have squandered about 10-12 points since December needlessly by playing players out of position or bringing the subs on far too late when we are chasing the game. Not enough pace up front or on the wings and way too negative , going from a great attacking position back to the keeper too often. Having said thet Stevenage were very good on the night and just their general play probably deserved the points. Made us look bang average
