Richard Hill spoke to the media following our 2-1 defeat against AFC Fylde in the Vanarama National League.

Nothing that we haven't heard before after another defeat. Eastleigh need a leader in defence, someone who can direct and organise the back four. A Steve Bould or Martin Keown type if I had to name two from the past. In midfield a playmaker, like a Roy Keane type. The defence folds like a pack of cards when the opposition get near the Eastleigh penalty box and the midfield need to tighten up and boss their area. It's not difficult!

Poor recruitment in the summer. We’ve bought in ageing players at the ends of their careers that are just after a paycheck it seems. Rather have younger (cheaper) hungrier players on the way up that go onto bigger and better things than people just looking to make a last few quid and keep the heart ticking over. Just let hill go. Say goodbye to your mate and rebuild in the summer and go again. Onwards and upwards
