Around the 32:20 mark ... The fish on the 1967 Canadian .10c coin (dime) is a Mackerel. Canada was in the process of phasing silver out of its coins at this time and switched from 80% Ag to 50% Ag (in dimes and quarters) at some point imid-year. I believe the only true way to tell if a '67 dime is 50% or 80% (aside from melting it) is via a specific gravity test.

Had to leave a comment on how much I enjoy watching these videos. Not only are they informative, but you can learn a lot too. There is another channel that is somewhat close to these, but he throws in way too much politics and name calling. While I occasionally hear Guy talking politics he doesn’t have to bad talk people to get his point across. Just wanted to say thanks for the info and entertainment. Enjoy.

The fish on the 1967 Canadian commemorative ten cents is a mackerel not a salmon and circulated in 50 and 80 percent silver. I live in Canada and you are right on the money Coin Guy on the shipping to Canada. I stopped purchasing coins from dealers in the U.S. because the currency exchange, customs duties and shipping is crazy. Another fantastic video.

Man it would be amazing to have a coin shop like this near me. Blows me away there isn't anything remotely close like this in North Texas. On the other hand it's probably a good things as I likely couldn't afford it lol. The selection and prices seem so fair in comparison to online options.

Nothing like sorting a fresh hoard... Been involved in a few. My father once received for appraisal a huge raw indian head collection his friend had inherited. All loose coins in like a dozen sacks. It took us a a few weeks to go through. There was some great stuff. It was so exciting. There were stacks of key dates and some REALLY big hits. The guy was floored. I got to fill most of my indian head binders as payment for helping out.

I love this guy. First time seeing. I only buy gold and silver bullion now, no more slabs or rare or semi rare. Why? Well I needed to raise cash for a vacation condo purchase and I found out one thing. I usually go to at least one coin show a year. I show an MS63 Morgan for example and EVERY coin dealer starts with "well it's MS63 but has a spot here, or it's a low grade 63., etc., etc.". They did that with MS65s, MS66s, etc, gold or silver modern or rare. I took a beating but had no choice. I made it back with the equity in my property and then some, so from then on I know 1oz silver or gold or platinum is worth whatever it is worth on any given day by weight regardless of condition. I love rare coins but not the process of buying and selling so I am out of that part of the market sorry to say. Not all but I say most coin dealers are not nice to deal with when evaluating a coin.
