Have you ever wished you could see into the future and anticipate all of the difficulties you might have choosing to raise a child bilingually? Amy of the Our mL Home blog (ourmlhome.wordpress.com) is successfully raising children in English as a non-native speaker (but it should be noted that she acquired English relatively young by attending an English school abroad--her English is native-like!). Her children are 5 and 9 years old and she shares with us some wisdom from the future for those of us who are just starting out on our journeys raising bilingual or multilingual children. While some responses have been edited for brevity, the original meaning is always left intact.
