Unpopular opinion: Axl might be controversial and he did have anger issues but he's one of the most respectful rock stars out there. He's really kind and respectful to people who treat him with respect unlike most rock stars who act indifferent or snobby.

It’s the press, those rock star scandals that sell papers. And sure, he really got some issues with aggression, but given his upbringing, that’s not surprising. Abuse of any kind can seriously fuck you up regarding apppropriate emotional responses. As in: “let’s talk instead of hitting each other”, for example. Still, I think it got blown out of proportion. He IS a smart, loyal, incredibly talented, sensitive and a simply lovable guy,
@Glaamdring3 жыл бұрын
People dislike him because he's a selfish, abusive, bigoted, narcissist. Look up what Axl did after James Hetfield was badly burnt by pyrotechnics during a show during a Metallica/GnR tour-despicable. Axl couldn't handle that James was momentarily the center of attention _due to being burnt nearly to a crisp_ and refused to play.

He wasn't turning for early gigs back in 85 and 1986. Nothing to do with hetfeld etc. He always had bad stage fright and was a nervous person.. He's also bipolar been on lithium since 1985.

His voice is so.... deep, so soothing. I could listen to him talking all day. I could fall asleep to him talking. Axl is so sweet and genuine, I can’t believe people talked so much shit about him. They didn’t know him personally, they can’t judge him. He didn’t care what people talked about him and he most likely still doesn’t. I think people didn’t like him because he was so honest about everything, I could definitely see him say shit to your face, if he didn’t like you. I do that too and people have me for a bitch.

I remember being mesmerized by November Rain and the music video for it when I had just turned 4. Axl and GN'R inspired me to be a singer, get my bachelors in choral music education, and be a middle and high school choir director. I finally got to see Axl perform live for my 25th birthday and he still very much has that "it" factor. He's never going to lose that. The November Rain performance brought me to tears cause the inspirational song would ironically tell the tale of my personal life.
@whitneyangelie36827 жыл бұрын
April Gonzalez November Rain is my first memory of them too! I was about 5 and my best friend who lived next door turned on MTV and the NR vid came on. She'd seen it but I hadn't and I didn't totally understand it, but it hit me in a way and I started to tear up like it really made me sad. I couldn't figure out why the bride died (I thought she got stomped to death when the guests were running trying to get out of the rain but that's probably wrong lol). Anyway, that song always stuck with me and has an affect on me all these years later, especially the epic solo at the end by Slash.

I wasn't on Coke. It turned out to be illness. I will always LOVE Axl Rose.

I think he is such a perfectionist when it comes to the music, that sometimes he feels that others don't have that indepth need, they just want to play and get high,as they did in the beginning. Axl wants a legacy, and he is very eloquent and intelligent. His achillies heel is his quick temper and short fuse. His voice is mesmerising when he sings, but is so deep and rich when he talks, pure perfection 🥰 💞. This guy is the full package, drop dead gorgeous, sexy, amazing voice, intelligent, and the greatest front man ever.

An intelligent person and a musician with integrity, at such a young age and at the climax of his fame! Hat off! It surely must have been such a struggle to get where he was by then, intellectually speaking, imagining the environment he grew up in! it always amazes me how this guy is calm and polite half the time as opposed to his manic side. ya know especially in interviews. hes such a fascinating guy... i wouldve expected him to be the most wasted out of the band seeing as hes crazy as he is and the frontman. but im really suprised how hes always the most articulate guy cos hes not stoned all the time. we all know that hes a really intelligent guy and thing is, all the douchey decisions he made like firing steven and writing up that douchey contract against the rest of the band, they were all intelligent decisions with regards to the future of the actual band. but intelligent doesnt necessarily mean the right decision . axl kinda couldnt differentiate the difference between the two when he made those rash decisions. but at the end of the day its hard to love a weird guy like him and im pretty sure hes bipolar ... but i love him anyway lol. such a fascinating personality...
@kingaxlrosesspiceandeveryt17194 жыл бұрын
Axl wasn't the one who fired Steven, it was Slash and Duff primarily. Axl reluctantly agreed,and was the last one to sign.
@cadylight15453 жыл бұрын
No he's not a bipolar he has another condition called manic depression and it's caused by his upbringing Second he didn't fire Steven .actually axl was the last one to sign and tried so hard to keep him in in contract to what Slash Duff and Niven wanted him out because they were the ones in big agony because they had to deal with Steven through all the recording process and he was a mess, so they were the ones who initiated the firing decision. And to be fair Steven was holding them back with his drug use and his disability to learn his parts.

Axl’s so misunderstood. All that ego crap!! In my opinion, Axl’s a perfectionist and a control freak, and I don’t mean that in any derogatory way. Axl experienced a childhood of emotional suppression and emotional incarceration that was no doubt created by his dictator of a stepfather - it’s no wonder he demands artistic freedom and total control... And then one day, Axl realised there was a way out. Axl found a path that he could walk where he could finally vent that soul and spirit of his, and a path that would lead Axl to success. And then, Axl realised that he could ONLY succeed if he walked that path with three hardened smackheads and one inveterate alcoholic! Sweet Jesus! It was bound to send him nuts now-and-then. The odd riot and fan-assault was pretty good going if you ask me! I love the bloke!
