Dr. Gray's my hero!! I wish women would accept what Dr. says, that us men are different from them.....I don't think or feel like a woman, nor should I - enough said.

This aligns with the book How to Win Friends and Influence People. People dont respond with criticising and complaining.

I ended up on this video bc I love listening to John. Read many of his books. And this is a more recent interview of only 8 months ago. However, I cannot handle how many times she is interrupting him. It’s really quite rude.

What i wonder is how John's dating period was with Bonnie. That would be very heplful cause Bonnie was such a sweetheart as i have learnt from John's interviews. And i would love to hear his comment on the thin line between staying in giving love in any case and not being a guaranteed love to a man.

Thank you for the video. For men like me, at 53 years, I feel like I only have leftovers to date unless I choose to date young women (i.e. 20s/30s). I had to conclude/terminate a three year pseudo-relationship with a late 40's single mom where, on the surface, it felt like a relationship as I was treating her like a girlfriend, but the "pseudo" part of that connection was that she wasn't honest about how emotionally broken she was and never returned any emotional/spiritual feelings back to me. As a middle aged man, I won't be someone's first, or first love and any of the special things that dating and loving in your 20s would be like. That's why it's over for me like me. That's a reality I am still processing as I know I don't want to settle and dating women in their 40s/50s is just that, dating other men's leftovers with all the emotional garbage that lovingly goes along with it.

What a brilliant interview. So many things I had forgotten from listening to every single video from John Gray. As a woman who has been single for decades with occasional sexual forays. The questions you raised Junie underlined precisely what I needed to hear, know and remember. Thank you both so much. This was wonderful!

That’s me. Thank you. I guess I hold a lot of masculinity because I’m use to doing things on my own since the passing of my husband years ago. I wish I had this knowledge years ago.

Sorry for your loss Sara. Me too on the masculinity. It's a great thing to be strong! And it's also great and healthy to be able to be open to receive and drop into that feminine side. First step is noticing.

I’ve been a widow since 1992. I was 38 at the time. I raised my 3 and 7 year old daughters; my focus was on them. I never remarried, never found a connection. I miss intimacy. I’m 68 now, met a man and we just spend time with each other from time to time. We’re called “Spenders” We enjoy each other. I’m fine with that. Not looking for marriage at this point in time. Just enjoying our moments. Thank you.

This is very good and so informative. Its so true what you say about trust issues for women. This is my main issue in my relationship. Had a bad relationship in the past and don't feel I can trust this man. I have expressed this to him and he is being so open with me on the issue. But now our sex life is not as on going as before. When I spoke to him about this he says he feels he has ED and doesn't want to let me down. But I'm just wondering if this is true or if its because he is not into me. 😕
@MidlifeLoveOutLoud
@MidlifeLoveOutLoud 2 жыл бұрын
Oh hon. trust is such a huge thing and complicated. Many things go into creating it and restoring it and earning it. As for the ED and whether he is into you, it's a sensitive topic for sure. Men often feel like they are letting us down which adds to the problem and the we often question whether it's us. I offer to you it can be both so keep the dialogue open, share your truth without making him wrong, keep doing your healing work and hopefully he will do the same. ❤
