@Billy Stanley I'm a 60 year old Granma, have 7 grandchildren and introduced them to Elvis. They love him. I haven't taken a vacation in over 20 years and want to bring the oldest ones to see Graceland this year. I'm really nervous to travel alone with kids but I really want to see Graceland and share him with them. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and do it! The Elvis Movie is what opened the doors for kids today.

Thank you so Much for this video, I’ve been an Elvis fan my whole Life too and I’ve never ever read a book anybody has written about Elvis. Billy after hearing this I will read your book because I feel deeply as an intuitive and sensitive person that you are the real deal and I can feel your heart felt emotion when talking about Elvis. I know you loved him and I am excited to read it. Thank you !

When I was 15 in August 1977 my family was on our way to Little Rock from Chicago to visit family friends. As we approached Memphis, Elvis had died and was laid out in the foyer of Graceland. My mom and I stood in the long line to walk past the casket to pay our respects. My father and 8 year old nephew waited for us under the shade of a tree because the heat was so intense, and people were fainting, and ambulances were taking fans away. We didn't want my dad or nephew to be overcome by the heat in the line.

Thank you so much! I am a new fan of Elvis. I really became interested after Lisa passed and of course the movie. Since then, I sing Elvis songs in music room w bf who is retired drummer. We also decided to sing his gospel songs on Sunday. There are very small parallels w Elvis' life and ours that we relate too. I find out this because of all the interviews of Billy and Elvis friends, his book, etc. Its good to hear about the real Elvis.

This interview was absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed every minute. I respect and admire Billy. Very much. We all have our ways of believing about the movie. But I'm kind of like in his. Category but I do feel Austin did a fabulous job that kid went through 2 years. Of working hard to do his best and I think he did. No one can be Elvis we know that. But he brought him back to life and now people know what he was like. And how he entertained. And they can do research and see. What's true what's not true? God bless you Billy. I hope someday I will be blessed to meet you in your family.

Billy NOBODY is going to look exactly like Elvis when playing the "role" of Elvis just as there would be nobody that would look exactly like you !... was the movie perfect?? no, but then again there will never be a movie that tells anyone's story exactly like it was (unfortunately ).. You are right that the best thing about the movie is that it brought Elvis back into the spotlight. That being said THIS movie was the best effort put on film since his passing and if you think I'm wrong please let me know what other movie even came close to the story.

This movie spoken about was above and beyond WRONG . I don’t know how the Presley’s approved of it other than the fact they are profiting off of it . It didn’t depict Elvis or his family in the trueness of their life and selves . It shouldn’t of been shown at theatre . It gives a false sense of Elvis and his family that should be an embarrassment to the Presley family . If it had been made with true times and details it would of been an Academy Award winning film Oscar etc it wasn’t

These Stanley Brothers have written so many books on Elvis some with their wicked mother who didn't have to many nice things to say about him at all ,A man that took both she and her 3 boys in and gave them a great life via his dad Vernon . Billy is tbe oldest of the 3 brothers so he is very much aware that he and his brothers was not left in a boarding school ad he is saying they was left for over a year in a orphan home by their mom being abused , their father was a military drunk and his mom first came after Elvis who didn't want her as soon as he and his father and grandmother made it to Germany 1 month to be exact after Elvis mom passing , She couldn't get Elvis so she went for his dad .This history can be researched , The second son said they was left in an orphan home wondering and crying for their mom's return Ricky Stanley told his story after he had turned his life over to God assuring he had forgiven his mother that can also be researched as well as every interview the Stanley family have given , In the end after Elvis passed they began to write books their mom accusing Elvis of breaking down her marriage describing him as a big black hole that swallow people up and everyone gave themselves to him and now it's time to take back something, she was bitter because Elvis father left her for another woman 4 years prior to Elvis death , She accused Elvis of her 3 boys being drug addicts using street drugs ,Drugs Elvis never used he shunned street drugs. These people lived a life they could have never afforded for themselves before his passing and after as they write their books . The biggest and horrific lie a human can tell on another is when no publisher would take their mom on with the story she was trying to tell it was a rag sheet tabloid Enquirer magazine put the story in a 8 part documentary where this woman accused Elvis and his beloved mom of sleeping together 17 years after Elvis death stating the people who told her this was his father, Grandmother and their maid all three people had been dead for over a decade and half no one to back her lie up, She said it had been going on since Elvis was 16 and 17 I mind you Elvis and his folks was very poor at that age it was no maid to be found and the love Elvis and and his dad had for each other was so great no man would have tolerated his wife and son sleeping together while he did nothing. No mother who was Elvis grandmother would have ever admitted to having such a weak son and she would have never loved Elvis as much as she did. They couldn't afford their bills let alone hire a maid their real come up didn't happen until 1956 moving to Audubon Drive when he was 21 , Graceland at age 22 in 1957, his mom passed in 1958 in August and Dee Stanley slithered into their lives in September 1958 as a married woman. started an affair. with Vernon and married Vernon in 1960 during the time they was taken from the orphan. Research Ricky Stanley Story , Elvis didn't attend the wedding because so soon after his mom's death Vernon began to date this woman like any kid a couple of months after you've buried your beloved mother , He cared for these young boys he felt they deserved better than what they was receiving from the adults in their lives . My problem with all these different people who have written multiple books Like the Stanley family or just 1 when it got to the point he could no longer take care of them they started writing their tell all books knowing Elvis was a private man he never wrote a book ,did a documentary or interviews about his personal life and if they didn't have nothing to say about his kindness , his generosity the ones who was the closest should have kept their mouths closed. It Was always going to be people writing and talking without facts but it didn't have to be the ones he loved and cared about.. Everyone has written a book except Elvis and Lisa and that is why Lisa didn't have much or any at all to do with these people Elvis felt he could really trust because it was so many who have betrayed his trust and some who have down right lied. So I have no respect for the Stanley Family , Where was them when their mom was selling such a big Horrible lie on this man and his family, Why wasnt the 3 now 2 protecting your big step brother's name and reputation. Dee Stanley left some very bad poison back here on the Presley family name and action speaks louder than words one of Vernon last actions was to bring his late wife Gladys and their son Elvis back to Graceland , place a marker for Elvis twin and made sure his final resting place was at Graceland and in eternity he'd RIP between his wife and son and his mom close by those actions speaks volume about how Vernon Presley felt about his late wife and son. Until Billy and David can shed their thoughts and apologies. for their family( Their mom)cruel words and behavior I really don't want to hear anything they have to say about Elvis Presley. P.S. This story was done on the Geraldo Rivera Show back in 1994 ,The name of the show is the The Kings Darkest Secrets written by Dee Presley . She was no longer a Presley, Vernon separated from her in 1973 and divorced her 2 months after Elvis passing in 1977. ,Vernon left her for a lady name Sandy back in 1973 a woman Who was with him until he passed on 2 years later after Elvis. They say hell have no fury like a woman scorn in this case that is no lie. Research don't believe me or merely ask Billy he know.

Wonderful interview. I love hearing and reading interviews with Billy Stanley, David Stanley and the late Rick Stanley. I agree with Billy about the recent Baz Elvis 2022 interview because there are too many discrepancies with this movie. Elvis fans and his brothers have too be frustrated with a fantasy movie without accurate information. The true Elvis story is fascinating without inaccurate revisionism.

BILLY’S SUMMATION OF AUSTIN’S CHARACTER OF ELVIS IS ACCURATE. BUT THE MOVIE WAS SEEING ELVIS FROM THE COLONEL PARKER. PARKER WAS A DARKER CHARACTER IN REAL LIFE. HE WAS A CARNY KING. HE FOUND A GOLD MINE IN ELVIS, AND MANAGED HIM TIL THE GOLD RUN OUT. I SAW THE MOVIE TWICE, AUSTIN WAS GOOD, HANKS WAS GREAT. BUT ITS THROUGH PARKER’S EYES.

He seems like a nice guy. He’s always smiling. What the heck happened to his brother his one brother I forget the name is like very bitter. I don’t even know if he’s still alive, but he signs when he talks. He’s very bitter very hateful and he’s a very friendly guy.

I can't find the video that Billy talked about. He called it "oh holy day", I think it may have been "oh happy day". I can't find the one where he that Elvis was touched by The Holy Spirit.

Tremendo desprecio le hizo la academia a Elvis...😳 ! Increible!! al niño mimado de los EE.UU ocho nominaciones y ni siquiera una gano

Woke, fake Hollywood! Elvis sang gospels, so there's no way the academy would acknowledge him in any way. He's still the GOAT and best selling solo artist of all time, and they can't do a thing to change that! The trophy building at Graceland speaks volumes of his successes and accolades.

What a love to pick up the 3 boys as brothers and treated them so lovingly . I bet Vernon was hard on them, hear he was tight with money and Elvis was the opposite!

@@tracie5245 that's true but he didn't spend much time with Elvis at the end because Elvis slept with his girlfriend and Billy didn't care much for that, I like how the new wave of people are acting like Elvis is still alive it's so strange LOL

@Kenneth Long I think you can blame that on the Elvis movie. I've had my share of 22 year olds telling me all about Elvis - LOL! Billy's book is really pretty good. No mention of EP sleeping with his GF.

It seems that it didn't take long for Vernon to move on after Gladys's death i. I didn't realize that it was so soon after her death,2 years, and remarried.
